I have to admit, writing synopses is hard when you’re trying not to give away too much of the meat of the sermon. So, I’ll leave it at this: we must remember that these short sayings we use are the reminders pointing to a bigger, deeper meaning. Be observant when using them because those listening may not have that context or inside knowledge to not take the saying only at face value. If you don’t know or need reminding of what work God does, when He does it, and for whom, prepare to be enlightened.
