In this sermon, we see that Jesus is the Rock of Salvation, fulfills Old Testament prophecies and symbols, revealing Himself as the source of living water. In John 7:37-53, during the Feast of Tabernacles, He calls the thirsty to come to Him, echoing the wilderness account where water flowed from the rock Moses struck. This foreshadows Christ’s sacrifice—struck once to bring eternal life. While some recognized Him as the Messiah, religious leaders, blinded by power and tradition, rejected Him. Their resistance forces us to decide: will we believe in Jesus and receive eternal life, or reject Him and remain spiritually blind? The choice is ours.
