About the Destiny of the Saints
About the Destiny of the Saints
One of the saddest things to see is when Christians fight with one another.
Paul rebuked the Corinthians for taking their battles before the world instead of the judgement of other believers. It was a poor testimony.
Don’t you know your destiny? You are going to judge the world and even angels!
22 until the Ancient of Days came and judgment was passed in favor of the saints of the Highest One, and the time arrived when the saints took possession of the kingdom.
Christ has saved you for a greater purpose than just this life. Even the “least esteemed” believer should be able to give a better judgment than the world? Why? Because of who God has called you to be.
About the Judgement of God
About the Judgement of God
Now Paul deals with the real issue, defrauding others and dishonoring yourself.
DON’T YOU KNOW? About God’s righteous judgment. Trust Him.
God will judge the sin of the world, but that is not your calling. That may have been your past, but it is not your future!
Why? You have been washed, declared holy, and justified in Christ’s name by the Holy Spirit.
About God’s Purpose for Your Body
About God’s Purpose for Your Body
Paul addressed the idea that it doesn’t matter what you do in your body
DON’T YOU KNOW? Your Body is a member of Christ’s body.
How can it be joined to that which is immoral.
God has given a good gift to be used only in the bonds of marriage between a man and a woman. It is a powerful gift, that is more than just a physical act, but creates bonds
When people violate God’s design they end up with all sorts of physical and psychological problems.
DON’T YOU KNOW? Your body and spirit are the temple of the Holy Spirit!
We do not belong to ourselves.
14 For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died; 15 and He died for all, so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf.
God’s purpose for you is that you enjoy life as He intended. The greatest enjoyment in life is fellowship with God and with others.
