Historically Jesus has ascended. This This answers the question of where Jesus is geographically or naturally. Our passage here explains this fact:

Acts 1:6–11 (KJV 1900)
6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? 7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. 9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. 10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; 11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
Jesus has gone into heaven
His ministry walking the earth has now ended
The disciples watched him go into heaven.
He has not come back yet back the angels declared that he would
What does Jesus ascension into heaven mean for me right now?
We are in the administration of the son. Jesus as a resurrected man is in the heavenly realm advocating for us.
Ps 110 predicts this administration in which the son has preeminence over all things.
Jesus Ascension makes him superior to any OT figure or any diety or religious leader:

The ascension is proof of his glorification and his superiority over such OT heroes as David (

Hebrews 4:14–16 (KJV 1900)
14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Romans 8:26–27 (KJV 1900)
26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
Jesus Ascension has great benefits for us in our condition:
Jesus offered a once and for all sacrifice to God for the sins of humanity and that sacrifice was accepted. Jesus is a hight priest forever.
Our sin problem has been dealt with forever through the sacrifice of Christ.
Jesus was not only the Lamb but is the high priest that offered the blood of the Lamb in the presence of God in the heavenly realm:
Hebrews 1:2–3 (KJV 1900)
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; 3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
Hebrews 10:11–14 (KJV 1900)
11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: 12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; 13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. 14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
This means that your righteousness is not needed
We can rest in God
We do not have to live in guilt, shame and failure
Our responsibility is to know- to become intimately aware of the truth and facts. This is not a fable. This has real life implications.

the ascension means that there is a human being in heaven who sympathizes with humanity and can therefore intercede on humanity’s behalf (

You cannot say that no one knows how it feels to be abandoned
You will never be able to say that God does not understand.
Jesus represents the fact that we have a advocate, someone representing our weaknesses, failures, fear, doubt, anxiety, and sadness in the heavenly realm.
We must we do?
We must hear the gospel with our heart
We must confess our need to God with boldness and confidence that he will hear us and that he understands
He is Immanuel- He is with us right now. He is always willing to be with us and to interact with us as his children.
We must make these truths a reality in our belief system by faith (appropriation)
Without reckoning or counting these things to be true in our lives they have no power to transform our lives.
It is impossible to please God without faith
Our spiritual diet determines who we are
Every message I preach will always boil down to challenging God’s people to apply the truth of the gospel in faith for life changing results.
We are in a war against unbelief.
Unbelief can make us quietly quit.
Unbelief can make us stop trying
Unbelief can cause believers to become indifferent in their walk with God
Unbelief can cause a person to resign from being a true follower.
Let us bring these burdens now. What we have failed to process or deal with in our lives, we must know now that Jesus is sitting.
Jesus has finished a work. Now we must press into it by faith.
Our job is to believe and respond in faith.
Do you bring these things to God?
Have we surrendered our all to him?
Do we allow him to be the head of all things in our lives?
Do we trust that Jesus does in fact know and understand?
Do we know that he is with us constantly. Jesus is present?
