Hear THIS - Without people who make you better, you can miss out on what’s best.

What do you do when you meet someone new and want to learn about them more? - Creep
We dont share a crush we have.
We DO share who we are dating!
BUT Some of us may want some secrecy when it comes to our relationships.
WHY? Because…
It’s not always comfortable to let people in on your relationships.
2. We aren’t looking for everyone’s input.
3. We’re afraid that the people closest to us might disapprove of the relationship.
4. We’re afraid that our parent, caretaker, or family might disapprove.
But what if you could base your dating success on something way better than this vague idea of potential?
Short passage in Proverbs - Short life sayings - Cause/Effect
Lots of guidance here not just for life, but for dating as well.
“For lack of guidance a nation falls, but victory is won through many advisors” (Proverbs 11:14
NIV).
What i got from that is this: If we only rely on ourselves for guidance and direction, at some point, we’re going to fall.
By ourselves we can only see so much. When we rely only on our own perspectives, we limit our ability to see life clearly.
That is what Solomon is getting at when he says “victory is won through many advisors.
Think of it this way: Without people who make you better, you can miss out on what’s best.
God created us for Community - Utilize your community in life
At the end of the day guys - You only know what you know
Interactive - Photo mode VS Portrait - Advisors help you with your blind spots
They help when…
• Falling into habits you want to break but that person doesn’t have the same standards—spending money, doom scrolling, sex, drugs, unmotivated lifestyle, etc.
• Dating abusive or disrespectful people
• Dating for status and clout instead of for right reasons, making you narcissistic / self-absorbed
• If having that person in your life isn’t making you any better at life. They’re keeping you from reaching your potential
• Your advisors may be able to spot that the person you’re dating has zero respect for authority.
• They may notice how the person you’re dating is creating a wedge and divide between you and your friends.
If we let people in, we might be surprised at how helpful they can be.
