A dad tried to teach his kids the importance of listening to him by asking them to close their eyes while he set up a small scavenger hunt. As the kids ran from room to room, they missed the clues he carefully placed. Similarly, as disciples, if we rush ahead without listening, we may miss the divine clues God has set in our lives. Sometimes, slowing down opens our eyes to His wonders!
Jesus called disciples from all wa
lks of life, including fishermen, tax collectors, and zealots. This diverse crew serves as a reminder that being a disciple doesn’t require superhuman qualities but a willing heart. Over pizza night, a group of friends joked about who would make the best disciple: the one who effortlessly shares or the one who’s a little quirky yet passionate? In the end, it’s the heart that counts!
