Aim: to summarize the spiritual seed promise fulfillment in Jesus using both the O.T. and the N.T.

The Promise and the Summation (Lesson 46, quiz to be attached and given)
Introduction:
The promise of God, we have looked at it in previous lessons, from the Old Testament, from the New Testament. The bible gives us the history, the timeline of the promise given to the promise fulfilled.
The central part of the promise is the “seed” the spiritual seed through whom all nations would be blessed, and that seed is Jesus Christ promised, and provided, proven to be the fulfillment.
Aim:
To overview our study, to summarize the New Testament comments.
To list the concluding facts concerning the promises that it may become clearly fixed in our minds and be able to share it with others.
Outline:
Summary
The New Testament spokesmen (Luke, Peter, Paul) show through their teachings that Jesus was the Messiah to come found all throughout the Old Testament (Lk24:44; Act3:24, 13:29)
The New Testament spokesmen declare that the promise, is, one promise (Act26:6; Eph3:6)
The New Testament spokesmen affirm that the promise made to Abraham is the means that all nations would be blessed (Gal3:8-9; Eph2:11-13)
The New Testament spokesmen trace the promise found in the Old Testament through history to its fulfillment in Jesus Christ (Act7:1ff, 13:16ff)
The New Testament spokesmen use Old Testament terminology in speaking of the promise and its related topics (i.e. the use of “the fathers,” “the seed,” “the promise.”
The New Testament spokesmen preach and teach this promise, and its fulfillment as well as application as the one central theme to preach and teach (Act2, 7, 13, 26, 28; Eph1-3; Gal3)
Conclusion:
The promises’ main concern, focus is on Redemption, it was planned purposed, promised, prophesied and presented (Eph1-3)
The Promise throughout all history pointed toe the Christ (Act 7 -Stephens testimony; Act13 - Paul’s testimony; and 1Pt1:10-12 too)
Vitally important that we grasp the promise because it involves the Christ our means of redemption (Eph3:1-6)
The promise is the primary revelation of God’s eternal purpose decree, Jesus Christ being the summation (Eph1:3-11, 3:1-11; and Col1:24-28)
Jesus is the perfect realization of the promise
The Christ, the anointed one (Jesus) is the goal of Israel’s mission according to God’s eternal purpose from Abraham, to David, to Jesus, God’s Christ (see the genealogy Mt1:1ff)
The promise’s fulfillment (Jesus the Christ) is the backbone of all essentials of all Christianity
Forgiveness
Grace, faith, justification, redemption
The church.
The promise is all encompassing, being God’s own declaration concerning His eternal purpose of redemption. (Gen22:18, 12:1-3, 15:1ff and add in (Act13:23, 32, 26:6, Eph1:3-3:6)
Conclusion
Jesus Christ is the central person in all history. In Him we find hope, meaning, and purpose of life (Eph1:3-11)
The summary and the bible revelation is that God purposed in eternity (before the beginning) Promised in the fulness of time and Presented in our Redeemer for the lost, the doomed, the condemned to have no condemnation upon them when they put their faith, trust and obedience in Him.

Open bible, open notes, essay answers, be sure to use scripture in answers.
Choosing one of the above from New Testament spokesmen. write out and develop the summary. Be sure to use some of the given scriptures. You will have to look them up, read, then consider how to put something together.
Choosing one of the above from the conclusion, do the same, again being reminded to use scripture.
I will explain the quiz, then I will sign off. You may choose to have them take it home and work on it, or do it there.
From here we will get into our final section for 2-3 weeks then a final exam. We will need to decide if you want me to do another class, or take a time off and let you work on something.
