Thus says the Lord: “A voice is heard in Ramah, lamentation and bitter weeping. Rachel is weeping for her children; she refuses to be comforted for her children, because they are no more.”
Thus says the Lord: “Keep your voice from weeping, and your eyes from tears, for there is a reward for your work, declares the Lord, and they shall come back from the land of the enemy.
There is hope for your future, declares the Lord, and your children shall come back to their own country.
I have heard Ephraim grieving, ‘You have disciplined me, and I was disciplined, like an untrained calf; bring me back that I may be restored, for you are the Lord my God.
For after I had turned away, I relented, and after I was instructed, I struck my thigh; I was ashamed, and I was confounded, because I bore the disgrace of my youth.’
Pray for understanding on overcoming the essence of the flesh
There is a weeping/lament of sorts that while we read it is Rachael may indicate something much deeper for the body of believers
The weeping occurs in Ramah (the high exalted places
Ramah was a place where God's will was revealed, where leaders were anointed, and where the Spirit of God moved powerfully
Churches lamenting the loss of children
mass exodus
The conversations over what has transpired over the church causes many to believe it is over
While there is reason to believe so
the giving over to the essence of the flesh
The Lord declares a promise
remember there is an essence in us that belongs to Him
Study now through the life of Ephraim will lead us to see how;
we who carry the Spirit of God have an incredible power in us to overcome some of the greatest adversity
There is an essence in us that will lead us into a surrender of everything the Lord has declared over us.
The Lord is calling those with His nature back to Him to restore all that was lost in our rebellion

Sword Famine Pestillence
Sword Famine Pestillence
Jer 2:13 tells of an evil that shock the Heavens
forsaking the Lord (fountains of living water)
Making cisterns for themselves (churches without water)
Israel is being warned there is judgement coming
The Lord said to me: “Do not pray for the welfare of this people.
Though they fast, I will not hear their cry, and though they offer burnt offering and grain offering, I will not accept them. But I will consume them by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence.”
After the death of Jacob / Ephraim is referenced as Israel…
This replacement of the God-said in their life for what; when; how; they want it
Playing house with the church… it is going unheard
intentional wandering
Three things promised to them
Sword = war
famine = lack of food
Pestilence = disease
There is much to talk about this nature but it will be reserved for more of the essence of the Flesh Ephraim is dealing with
Can leave us feeling so I messed up guess Ill keep the streak
Hope for Restoration

That mourning or feeling of defeat… those days are over
Reward = return from the land of the enemy
Hope for a future
Hope for your future generations
There is a need to surrender the essence of the flesh
Making way for the Essence of the King

Discipline … and I was disciplined
Bring me back that I may be restored
Confession in who God is
Confession in our part… its not acting like we did nothing … especially after being told
Confession in the pit we dug out of immaturity or obstinance
Moving the heart of God
Is Ephraim my dear son? Is he my darling child? For as often as I speak against him, I do remember him still. Therefore my heart yearns for him; I will surely have mercy on him, declares the Lord.
beckons us to return
Longing from the Lord to bring us back to restore all things
This is the work that we are after to bring each of us into a space in which we are being restored
As we continue to look at Ephraim we will see the two natures hotly contending
As we are being called it is give way to the essence of the King
