Lessons from Biblical Figures
Date: February 23, 2025
By: Prophet TE Khorombi
Introduction:
Trusting God requires a deep, unwavering commitment.
This involves focusing on Him,
loving Him wholeheartedly,
praying consistently,
studying the Word daily,
worshipping sincerely in spirit and truth,
and praising Him in all circumstances.
God uses ordinary people to accomplish His purposes, those he used in the past never suspected they would be used so greatly by God.
Key Points:
The Woman of Samaria:
John 4:13-26 highlights her transformational journey.
Her Encounter with Jesus offered her a new beginning.
Fleshly desires were unsatisfying; true satisfaction came from Jesus.
Rahab the Prostitute:
Qualified by God's grace to be part of Jesus' genealogy.
Her faith and actions, acknowledged in Joshua 6:17, Hebrews 11:31, and James 2:25, illustrate God's use of imperfect vessels.
Ruth the Moabitess:
A Moabite who became King David's great-grandmother due to her faith. Matthew 1:5-6
Her story of loyalty and belief in the God of Israel is significant in Ruth 1:16.
Apostle Paul's Teachings:
Emphasizes forgetting the past and pressing forward in faith.
Philippians 3:12-16, Philippians 3:3, and Philippians 3:8 stress worship in Spirit and joy in Christ, with no reliance on the flesh.
Our goal is to attain resurrection and transformation through Christ.
Queen Esther:
Orphaned, raised by her uncle, yet became a savior for the Jews.
Her story in Esther 4:14 and Esther 2:5-7 shows how God uses unexpected situations for His purpose.
Joseph, Prince of Egypt:
Despite family rejection, his dreams led to greatness in Egypt.
Genesis 41:41-44 describes his rise from adversity to prominence.
Conclusion:
These stories remind us of the remarkable ways God accomplishes His plans through those who trust Him.
As believers, we are encouraged to surrender to His will, focus on our faith, and trust in His eternal promises through Jesus Christ.
