~ Paul and Silas praised in prison. This decision by Paul and Silas in prison is built on the foundation of a lifestyle of praise and service and sacrifice.
~ Jesus, prayed in the garden of Gathseme and on the cross. Jesus, his whole life had been spent serving God doing the will of the father and not his own, and so his response is built on the foundation of a lifestyle as well.
Isaiah 55:6 “6 “Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near;”
Psalm 63:1 “1 O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.”
Matthew 16:24–26 “24 Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. 25 For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. 26 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?”

Little Things Matter

Long journeys are comprised of small steps. Make sure you are addressing the little things.
Song of Solomon 2:15 “15 Catch the foxes for us, the little foxes that spoil the vineyards, for our vineyards are in blossom.””
Galatians 5:9 “9 A little leaven leavens the whole lump.”
You’re not trying to be a better version of the old you you’re a brand new creature, the old has passed away and all things have become new
