The Touch of the Master’s Hand

signifies that a simple physical gesture of touch can carry a deep emotional weight, conveying love, support, comfort, or connection, often having a profound impact even when seemingly small.

(Matthew 8:14–15 “14 When Jesus came into Peter’s home, He saw his mother-in-law lying sick in bed with a fever. 15 And He touched her hand, and the fever left her; and she got up and waited on Him.” This healing of fever is a type of sin’s sickness and discomfort

IV.   HIS TOUCH IS AN ILLUMINATING TOUCH

Jesus healed the two blind men that followed Him.
(Matthew 9:27–30 “27 As Jesus went on from there, two men who were blind followed Him, crying out, “Have mercy on us, Son of David!” 28 And after He entered the house, the men who were blind came up to Him, and Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.” 29 Then He touched their eyes, saying, “It shall be done for you according to your faith.” 30 And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them, saying, “See that no one knows about this!””
Sin blinds, binds, and when full grown, bringeth death.

The Touch of the Master's Hand

'Twas battered and scarred, and the auctioneer       Thought it scarcely worth his while To waste much time on the old violin,       But held it up with a smile. "What am I bidden, good folks," he cried,     "Who'll start the bidding for me?" "A dollar, a dollar. Then two! Only two?       Two dollars, and who'll make it three?" "Three dollars, once; three dollars, twice;       Going for three…" But no, From the room, far back, a grey-haired man       Came forward and picked up the bow; Then wiping the dust from the old violin,       And tightening the loosened strings, He played a melody pure and sweet,       As a caroling angel sings. The music ceased, and the auctioneer,       With a voice that was quiet and low, Said: "What am I bid for the old violin?"       And he held it up with the bow. "A thousand dollars, and who'll make it two?       Two thousand! And who'll make it three? Three thousand, once; three thousand, twice,     And going and gone," said he. The people cheered, but some of them cried,     "We do not quite understand. What changed its worth?" Swift came the reply:     "The touch of the Master's hand." And many a man with life out of tune,       And battered and scarred with sin, Is auctioned cheap to the thoughtless crowd       Much like the old violin. A "mess of pottage," a glass of wine,     A game — and he travels on. He is "going" once, and "going" twice,     He's "going" and almost "gone." But the Master comes, and the foolish crowd     Never can quite understand The worth of a soul and the change that is wrought     By the touch of the Master's hand.
Shackled by a heavy burden 'Neath a load of guilt and shame Then the hand of Jesus touched me And now I am no longer the same
He touched me, oh, He touched me And oh, the joy that floods my soul Something happened, and now I know He touched me, and made me whole
Since I've met this blessed Savior Since He's cleansed and made me whole Oh, I will never cease to praise Him (to praise Him) I'll shout it while eternity rolls
Oh, He touched me, oh He touched me, He touched me And oh, the joy that floods my soul Something happened and now I know He touched me and made me whole
