Paul has left Timothy in Ephesus to counter false teaching happening there

Paul says the purpose of his instruction is that all believers would be filled with love that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and genuine faith. (v.5), rather than wasting timeon meaningless discussion (v.6-7)

Leaders appointed by Christ (v.12)

First instruction is to pray for all people (2:1)

?? women will be saved through childbearing (2:15)

Qualifications for Elders (3:1-7)

Qualifications for deacons (3:8-13)

Physical training is good but training fot godliness is much better (4:8)

focus on reading the scriptures to the church, encouraging the believers and teaching them ((4:13)

Do not neglect the spiritual gifts spoken over you (4:14)

Treat people with respect (5:1-3)

Look after your own family (5:8)

Some sin is obvious, some not so. Same with good deeds (5:24-25)

True contentment (6:6-8)

Pursue righteousness and a Godly life, along with faith, love and perseverance, and gentleness. Fight the good fight for the true faith. Hold tightly to the eternal life to which God has called you, which you have declared so well before many witnesses. (6:11-12)

Dont trust in wealth (6:17-19)
