Can we have purpose without God?

Work
Genesis 2:15 “And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.”
Abstain From Lust (Sin)
Genesis 2:16–17 “And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”
Have a relationship with God
Genesis 3:8–9 “And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden. And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?”
“That doesn’t look like much of a relationship.”
Why was their relationship hindered?
The relationship was severed by sin.
What restored their relationship?
Genesis 3:21 “Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them.”
God had to cover their nakedness (Sin)
They tried to cover their sin
You can’t work your way to heaven
Ephesians 2:8–9 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
God Clothed them in his righteousness
Ephesians 1:7 “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;”
Romans 5:9 “Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.”
Acts 4:12 “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
Ephesians 4:3 “Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”
Isaiah 61:10 “I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, My soul shall be joyful in my God; For he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, He hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, As a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, And as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.”
