You Life is an anointed life
But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, so you don’t need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know, and what he teaches is true—it is not a lie. So just as he has taught you, remain in fellowship with Christ.
Here in the NLT it describes the anointing as the Holy Spirit working in us, to teach us truth.
But as for you, the anointing (the sacred appointment, the unction) which you received from Him abides [permanently] in you; [so] then you have no need that anyone should instruct you. But just as His anointing teaches you concerning everything and is true and is no falsehood, so you must abide in (live in, never depart from) Him [being rooted in Him, knit to Him], just as [His anointing] has taught you [to do].
Vine’s Complete Expository Dictionary of Old and New Testament Words Anoint, Anointing
chrisma (χρίσμα, 5545), the corresponding noun to No. 2, above, signifies “an unguent, or an anointing.”

to assign a person to a task, with the implication of supernatural sanctions, blessing, and endowment
Why are people anointed?
There is a calling to God
There is a separation unto God
there is a mission to be completed
But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.

So as David stood there among his brothers, Samuel took the flask of olive oil he had brought and anointed David with the oil. And the Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon David from that day on. Then Samuel returned to Ramah.
From that day the anointing of the Lord was upon his life-
the anointing secured the His purpose and calling
He was called to be King, and everything He did as he stayed in the anointing- listening to the Spirit’s leading- He did as someone who was anointed
When He fought Goliath the anointing was already upon his life
When He was running from Saul in the wilderness He was anointed
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me,
for the Lord has anointed me
to bring good news to the poor.
He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted
and to proclaim that captives will be released
and prisoners will be freed.
The Anointing attracts others

People came into David’s live at His lowest moment (While running for his life) because of the anointing
So David left Gath and escaped to the cave of Adullam. Soon his brothers and all his other relatives joined him there. Then others began coming—men who were in trouble or in debt or who were just discontented—until David was the captain of about 400 men.
Later David went to Mizpeh in Moab, where he asked the king, “Please allow my father and mother to live here with you until I know what God is going to do for me.” So David’s parents stayed in Moab with the king during the entire time David was living in his stronghold.

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released,
that the blind will see,
that the oppressed will be set free,
The Anointing sets oppressed people free- and the anointing is for those who believe- the Spirit is freely given
I cannot be oppressed because I am a Child of God-
For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children.
I am a child of God- I have the Spirit of God, Declaring with my Spirit “I am a child of God!”
In that day the Lord will end the bondage of his people.
He will break the yoke of slavery
and lift it from their shoulders.
That Day is today!- This is the Day of Salvation
For God says,
“At just the right time, I heard you.
On the day of salvation, I helped you.”
Indeed, the “right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation.

And you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.
It is the SPirit who is the Power of God in our lives-
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Men and Women of the Bible who did the great and mighty acts of God did them under the anointing
And he was amazed at their unbelief.
Then Jesus went from village to village, teaching the people. And he called his twelve disciples together and began sending them out two by two, giving them authority to cast out evil spirits. He told them to take nothing for their journey except a walking stick—no food, no traveler’s bag, no money. He allowed them to wear sandals but not to take a change of clothes.
“Wherever you go,” he said, “stay in the same house until you leave town. But if any place refuses to welcome you or listen to you, shake its dust from your feet as you leave to show that you have abandoned those people to their fate.”
So the disciples went out, telling everyone they met to repent of their sins and turn to God. And they cast out many demons and healed many sick people, anointing them with olive oil.

If you can tap into the anointing which you have, because you have the Spirit-
And now you Gentiles have also heard the truth, the Good News that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago. The Spirit is God’s guarantee that he will give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. He did this so we would praise and glorify him.

How can I condemn those
whom the Lord has not condemned?
Behold, I received a command to bless:
he has blessed, and I cannot revoke it.
He has not beheld misfortune in Jacob,
nor has he seen trouble in Israel.
The Lord their God is with them,
and the shout of a king is among them.
God brings them out of Egypt
and is for them like the horns of the wild ox.
For there is no enchantment against Jacob,
no divination against Israel;
now it shall be said of Jacob and Israel,
‘What has God wrought!’
Behold, a people! As a lioness it rises up
and as a lion it lifts itself;
it does not lie down until it has devoured the prey
and drunk the blood of the slain.”
Balaam the enemy of God’s people found out the Hard way that you cannot curse what God has blessed-
All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.
What God Speaks cannot be stopped
The Lord of Heaven’s Armies has spoken—
who can change his plans?
When his hand is raised,
who can stop him?”
5. The Anointing Causes increase-

And it is a good thing to receive wealth from God and the good health to enjoy it. To enjoy your work and accept your lot in life—this is indeed a gift from God. God keeps such people so busy enjoying life that they take no time to brood over the past.
As you walk with God He causes increase in your life- that is the Blessing of Deut 28- It you walk in my ways I will cause all these blessing to overtake you.”
If you listen to these commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you today, and if you carefully obey them, the Lord will make you the head and not the tail, and you will always be on top and never at the bottom.
There is a progression of going up, in the things that God promises
even ministries increase because of anointing- if god isn’t moving then the ministry is a dead ministry
if God isn’t leading then the ministry is a dead ministry
Every ministry in the Bible is an aNointed minister-
Jesus
Peter
Paul
Stephen
Phillip
John
When there is a calling there is an anointing
Holiness increases the Anointing

You love justice and hate evil.
Therefore, O God, your God has anointed you,
pouring out the oil of joy on you more than on anyone else.”
The Holy Spirit cause us to walk in Righteousness-
And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. And I will put my Spirit in you so that you will follow my decrees and be careful to obey my regulations.
As we walk in the Spirit we walk in righteous- He leads us into all truth (John 16)
God wants you to increase in the anointing
“If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully keep all his commands that I am giving you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the world. You will experience all these blessings if you obey the Lord your God:
Your towns and your fields
will be blessed.
The Anointing is for your life not just ministry and church - You are a chosen people everyday of your life!
