YG notes for 2/28/25

translation: 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

But we do not want you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning those who are asleep so that you may not grieve, just as also the rest, the ones who do not have hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose, so also God will bring with Him the ones who have fallen asleep through Jesus. For this we say to you as a word of the Lord, that WE the living, the ones who remain in the coming of the Lord will never come before those who fall asleep, because the Lord Himself, with the shout of command of the voice of the archangel, and int he trumpet of God, will descend from heaven, and the dead in Christ will rise first, then WE the living ones, the remaining ones will at the same times be snatched away in the clouds into meeting the Lord in the air, and we will always be with the Lord. So comfort one another with these words.

4. Don’t be sad about the loss of Christians, because they won’t miss anything.

5. We are united in Christ, because He died and rose again, so will we.

6. We are to have hope as we bury our dead.
