Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. “If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
How important it is to operate in love. Love is shown more by our actions than by our words. Paul shows us just how powerful love is, he shows us that love overcomes evil and when this happen it is replaced with good.

Inside and outside of the church a Christians foundation should be love.
True love involves a deep hatred for all that is evil, for evil can never benefit the beloved

In this passage Paul is speaking about what love looks like when someone is operating in it. Love must be something that is genuine and it must be something that is by nature good.
We are called to be devoted in love to one another and to value and respect and honor others above us. This is being selfless.
Love is never lacking enthusiasm or zeal, but instead we should be boiling over from the excitement for serving the Lord.
Love is being joyful in the moments that we don't understand, patient in the moments of trouble and suffering, and always prayerful.
Love is sharing and taking care of those in need, and receiving people.
Love is blessing those who persecute you and those who curse you.
Love is rejoicing with someone when they are on the mountain top, and mourning with someone when they are in the valley.
Love is living in unity with one another and seeing the value of those around you.
Love is not repaying evil for evil, but being peaceful and allowing God room to work.
Love is overcoming evil with good.

We are to rejoice with those who rejoice and mourn with those who mourn? Why is this? we are to be with people right where they are at. Again this is about being selfless and being a servant to those that we encounter.

We must be patient in times of difficulty, tribulation, and suffering.
