Numbers 14:10 (anger)
Numbers 14:32–33 (40 years’ wandering; wouldn’t be able to go into the land God promised; only their children and Joshua and Caleb would go into the land; punishment for sin - not trusting the Lord, complaining, and becoming angry)
Application:
Like the Israelites, we’re all tempted to complain and get angry that demonstrates we’re sinners who deserved to be punished in hell.
Believe on Jesus to save you from your sin.
If you have believed on Jesus, He’s given you the Holy Spirit to help you confess your sin of complaining and getting angry, empower you to trust the Lord no matter what you face, and encourage others to do the same, like Joshua and Caleb did.
Scripture Memory - Proverbs 3:5 “5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding.”
For “Trust” we’re going to raise our fists over our head and then pull them down.
For “Lord” we’re going to make a “L” with our right hand, take it to our shoulder and bring it to our waist.
For “All”, we’re going to raise our hands over our face with the palms open and hands crossed and extend them out wide.
For “Heart” we’re going to cross our fists over our chest.
For “Not” we’re going to point our index fingers up but not beyond our face and shake them (“no”).
For “Lean” we’re going to lean a little to one side.
For Understanding, we’re going to point our index fingers to our temples.
Repetition - Proverbs 3:5
