Holy Church

set apart - not perfectly good in action
set apart for Action. The mission of the church is the

Catholic Church

Unity is the emphasis of universality here. staying united is important but it must be around Jesus!
The decapitated view of the church = we focus to much on either the body or the head. We can’t be Christians without the church but likewise we cant be the church without having Jesus and his gospel as our head.
get to the idea that we must care for one another first, then we can care for those outside the church second! 1 Timothy 5:8 “And whoever does not provide for relatives, and especially for family members, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.” and Galatians 6:10 “So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us work for the good of all, and especially for those of the family of faith.”

Communing Church

Is this referencing the communion of saint in local churches a la Acts 2 or is it in reference to Hebrews as the great cloud of witnesses? If the former, then ill take this to discuss the practices of the church as they communion with one another. If the later, then ill take this to discuss the benefits of being part of the history of Gods plan of redemption (you are not alone).
most of the history of the church, they didn't have the option to not belong and still survive and thrive. This is one thing affluence robs of us.
What are some specific examples of ways NA people care share life with the other people in this room?
Questions:
Who is the Church? Does this involve liberal churches? Does this involve Catholics? Does this involve Mormons?
How should we talk about the Church and Isreal? Are we Covenant theologians in this way? Specifically, have we inherited the mission of Isreal in the OT?
is the communion of saint a universal thing or a specific practice of the local church?
