“Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom,
Let not the mighty man glory in his might,
Nor let the rich man glory in his riches;
24 But let him who glories glory in this,
That he understands and knows Me,
That I am the Lord, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth.
For in these I delight,” says the Lord.
Daily Encounter Yesterday:
9 For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;
Last week:
I was reading 2 Corinthians 3 and I was trying to wrap my head around the Glory of God
I’ve experienced it in a service
I’ve experienced in my quiet time

Reflections of Glory
Turn with me to:
12 Then Moses said to the Lord, “See, You say to me, ‘Bring up this people.’ But You have not let me know whom You will send with me. Yet You have said, ‘I know you by name, and you have also found grace in My sight.’ 13 Now therefore, I pray, if I have found grace in Your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know You and that I may find grace in Your sight. And consider that this nation is Your people.”
14 And He said, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”
15 Then he said to Him, “If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here.

The Hebrew word “DEREK,”which was translated “way” here, means “a road (as trodden); figurative a course of life or mode of action, often adverb” (Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary).

Make me comfortable God
Show me how to operate

Show me a direction
Show me the pathway that pleases you
Presence driven isn’t being lead by feelings
It’s asking God what do you want me to do
Regardless of how I feel
it’s about asking God what is the direction that would please you
Moses was asking to know God’s course of life or mode of action to help reveal His true nature to him.
God what is your way
When you truly encounter the living God, you can’t help but want more of Him
Moses got a taste of what it was like to be free from everything else and focus on just God alone for a few moments in the encounters he had on Mt. Sinai

16 For how then will it be known that Your people and I have found grace in Your sight, except You go with us? So we shall be separate, Your people and I, from all the people who are upon the face of the earth.”
17 So the Lord said to Moses, “I will also do this thing that you have spoken; for you have found grace in My sight, and I know you by name.”
18 And he said, “Please, show me Your glory.”
19 Then He said, “I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.”
What is God’s glory?
God’s glory is the manifestation of His goodness
What does that mean?
I don’t know
Beauty
His love
His Mercy
His majesty
His Joy
His Healing
His Provision
His Word
It’s a visible or manifest expression of His divine nature and Power
John in his revelation of Jesus is shown the new heaven and the new earth
23 The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light.
Hell is the absence of His Glory
The presence of His wrath
The Glory of God is the goodness of God manifest
2. His Glory indwells Us
3 who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
27 To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
His Glory isn’t a feeling
Because of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross and our spirits being reborn
We know are carriers of the presence of God

Just about every scripture book in the new testament references the Holy Spirit dwelling in you
5 Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
We can be content because everything we need is in Him
3. We Reflect His Glory
11 For if what is passing away was glorious, what remains is much more glorious.
12 Therefore, since we have such hope, we use great boldness of speech—13 unlike Moses, who put a veil over his face so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the end of what was passing away. 14 But their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is taken away in Christ. 15 But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart. 16 Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17 Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
We are a reflection of God’s glory
The moon does not emit light
It merely reflects the sun

Viral:
Literally a virus is becoming exposed to something
How do things become viral-more people are exposed to it
Exposure to a virus occurs when a person comes into contact with infectious agents
18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
μεταμορφόω (metamorphoō)
Transformed:
-to change into another form, to transform, to transfigure
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
When we have a room full of people who are exposed to the presence of God
The glory becomes more intense
We wonder why we have week churches
Partial sunlight
We keep on getting in the way
We don’t need a church that reflects culture, society and the world
We need a church that reflects the glory of God
Not a cool church but one that’s connected to the heart of God
Not a trendy church but one that’s been transformed by His spirit
God Showed me this
A greater greater reflection of His Glory
We have to expose ourself to God’s word so that our lives become a reflection of His Son
What is your life reflecting?
Maybe your flaws
Your addiction
Your anxiety
Your fear
Your depression
Your life will look like who and what you hang around
Hang out with Jesus daily!
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Sinners Prayer:
Father God, I give you my life
I give you my heart, I give you my all
I repent today for my past
I thank you my sins are forgiven
I believe in Jesus and that he died on the cross and rose again
I make you the Lord and Savior of my life
