Context

Paul is in Prison. He is going through Court trials that are not working out in his favor it looks like.
Paul is reminding Timothy (Timothy looked up to Paul for help and Guidance) about the qualities that are necessary to be a faithful minister of Jesus.

Context stays the same, overall meaning is talking about Christ’s return

Paul is writing both the pieces as Instructions for the Elders of the new Churchs.

Immortality
Saving Grace
that we were promised by God all through scripture. Jesus is the way, the truth and the light. Jesus is the only way. Jesus is your only saving Grace. At his feet you’ll stand in Heaven saying thank you Lord. Only through Jesus do we get this eternal life.
Some are still scared of death. Those who are scared should be comforted to know, that death will no longer exist as a part of their life when they allow Jesus in their hearts. Those who are scared to die and already have Jesus might be scared to lose the Earthly things in life. To verses for these people who are scared.
2 Cor 5:8 - To be absent in the body, is to be present with the Lord
Phil 1:23 - There’s two side, good and evil, Jesus and Earth and Jesus is far better than the things of this world.
