Knit a Web:

Have kids form groups

Give each group a skein of yarn.

God is our creator, so we live out our purpose.

Lots of purposes

Love God and listen = purpose shown for each day

Have the child in each group holding the skein of yarn name one thing he or she does well. Then the child will hold one end of the yarn and toss the skein to someone else. Kids will continue tossing the yarn but holding on to their piece until everyone has shared.

Next, have each kid name a person he or she has shown love to and repeat tossing the yarn.

Then have kids go around a third time, naming something they’ve done to serve or help someone. Have kids continue to hold their yarn web throughout the activity.
