Complaining - The expression of dissatisfaction or annoyance about something.
Complaining is a choice, just like praising.
Numbers 21:4–6 “4 From Mount Hor they set out by the way to the Red Sea, to go around the land of Edom. And the people became impatient on the way. 5 And the people spoke against God and against Moses, “Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no food and no water, and we loathe this worthless food.” 6 Then the Lord sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people, so that many people of Israel died.”
The reason God brought them out of the land of Egypt was because their prayers had reached God, they wanted out. I wonder if Moses ever said the, because you wanted out?
We do the same thing, we come to God because we know that something in our life has to change and so we get saved. Then God takes us AROUND and we get inpatient and our impatience causes problems.
When we come to God we get involved with the process of God, which leads to the promise of God just not as fast as we would like. Be careful that you don’t get impatient during the process. Know that your praise wont cause God to rush the process. Sitting on the front row won’t cause God to rush the process. God won’t be bribed. Don’t give up when that doesn’t work. God want’s us to stay close to Him on the good days and the bad days.
John 15:8 “8 By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.”
Wait upon the Lord
Wait upon the Lord
Isaiah 40:31 “31 but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”
When we rush and do not wait on the Lord we don’t renew our strength.
Psalm 27:14 “14 Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!”
Declaration of the Promise doesn’t mean immediate fulfillment of the promise. We have to learn to walk, wait, and maintain our faith.
He began it, He will finish It
He began it, He will finish It
Philippians 1:6 “6 And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”
God didn’t deliver and save you to let you die, wait for His timing and trust.
We will reap what we sow
We will reap what we sow
Galatians 6:7–9 “7 Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. 8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. 9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”
Not giving into the temptation of doubt and complaining will save us a lot of trouble.
Whats the overall why of all of this:
Whats the overall why of all of this:
Im not serving God for the promise, just to get something. I’m serving and following Him because I have fallen in love with Him and I’m in relationship with Him. I walk and talk with Him…I know Him and He knows me!!!
But the process of God taking us around ensures us that the promise won’t get too important. God will remain the why and the most important.
