JESUS HAS EXTENDED THE ULTIMATE INVITATION
YOU AND I HAVE BEEN INVITED TO BE A PART OF WHAT GOD WANT’S TO DO.
God has a plan and purpose for us all. And we get to be a part of what God want’s to do.
PETER WAS INVITED
16 As he passed alongside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew, Simon’s brother, casting a net into the sea—for they were fishermen. 17 “Follow me,” Jesus told them, “and I will make you fish for people.” 18 Immediately they left their nets and followed him.
This thing Peter was invited on was about to change the world.
LIKE I SAID THIS MORNING — If you know Jesus it’s because someone invited you. Parents (forced) — friend etc.

Here was God’s original plan for the local church: An amazing place, full of broken people who have been saved by grace, reaching out to a broken world around them.
Here’s the simpler version: A place where the found invite the lost, hurting, the broken and the hopeless
We have been invited to build the local church together.

An amazing place where the lost are found, addictions are broken, life change is the norm, WE GET TO BUILD THIS TOGETHER.

JESUS ISN’T LOOKING FOR PERFECTION OR ABILITY. HE’S LOOKING FOR AVAILABILITY.
Peter went on to preach the first sermon at the first Church gathering at Pentecost and 3,000 people are saved.

How does this happen? Because Jesus knew who Peter Could Be. All he needed was the invitation.

The invitation changed everything. The invitation changed the world. The invitation started the local church. Peter’s invitation changed everything. No matter who you are, what you’ve done, you are invited. Why? Because it doesn’t matter who you’ve been JESUS KNOWS WHO YOU COULD BE.

His father was farmer, help prayer meeting. Praying that someone would be raised up to reach people like never before.
“That out of Charlotte the Lord would raise up someone to preach the Gospel to the ends of the earth.”
There was a tent revival happening in town and his parents went but this teenager was far from interested in that. About a week of revival went by and one day this teenage boys friend invited him to come. He really wasn’t interested.
He bribed him by saying he could drive his truck to the revival if he came along that night.
Rumors flew that angry students planned to march on the tabernacle and demonstrate right in front of the platform. And that maybe they would even injure Dr. Ham.
That night, that invite changed everything. because that he accepted Jesus into his life. And his name, Billy Graham.
Billy graham went on to become a house hold name. In his revivals alone that were all over the world he preached to an estimated 250 million people.
It’s estimated that 12 million were saved at these revivals.
The Invitation changed everything.
