Philippians 3:1-11

Last week we talked about how everyone who is a believer, is considered the light of the world. With that spiritual truth we are to work out our salvation with fear and trembling not so that we will be saved byWhy is it beautiful to find your worth in Christ rather than yourself? works but rather through our obedience God can use us more. In turn your life will not be lived in vain but rather an eternal purpose will drive your life
Then verses 19-30 of chapter 2 we are given two examples of people who have modeled the Christian faith quite well, first being Timothy who always is putting other people before his own needs, and Epaphroditus who put his own life at risk to go serve Paul while being in prison, he even get so sick that he almost dies. Both of them are living examples of Christs character, Pauls point in writing about them is to note that they are both worthy of imitating.
V1 Paul again reminds his readers to rejoice in the Lord, and we know this is not the first time he has said this its like Paul is acknowledging he may be getting repetitive v1, none the less he wants them to rejoice in their salvation as should we. The fact that we can be saved through faith and not of our doing is something to rejoice over.
V2 Then he basically warns us for those who twist the gospel.
