We live in a DIY culture, Do It Yourself. Have a home project? DIY. Want to learn an instrument? DIY. Need to grow spiritually? DIY! Sometimes DIY is a money saver, sometimes it’s a time waster, and other times it is a dangerous disaster. But why would we choose to DIY if there is an expert on hand ready and willing to help out? For our spiritual growth the Bible refers to this expert as “The Prophet.” Let’s listen to him to make sure our spiritual life isn’t a dangerous disaster.
