What Faith can do in your life

Kenneth Hagin- Our confession will either imprison us or set us free. Our confession is the result of our believing, and our believing is the result of our right or wrong thinking.

What is faith?

Faith changes hope into reality
Hebrews 11:1 NLT
Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.
Faith is walking in the Reality of God- The Word faith means- pistis- “To believes to the extent of complete trust and reliance- to have confidence in.
The Best example of faith is you coming into this room and plopping your rump on the chair
There was no question that is was going to uphold you- This is the reality of faith in the life of people who believe in the Word of God, in the Character of God, and in the Nature God-
“I HAVE COMPLETE TRUST THAT GOD IS FOR ME!”
“I HAVE COMPLETE TRUST IN MY GOD SUPPLIES MY NEEDS”
The evidence of Faith isn’t just speaking its living according to the Word of God!
It walking in the reality That God is my God, and He is the God who has revealed Himself through His Word.
There is no Pseudo God out there- there is only one God
Deuteronomy 6:4–9 NLT
“Listen, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Faith is the lens through which we interpret our lives-

Hebrews 11:3 NLT
By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen.
God is author of all life- Even mine!
Jeremiah 29:11 NLT
For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
WE look at our lives through the lens of Faith- God’s plans are greater and good for your life- because He has said so, and because He has made it that way
2 Corinthians 8:9 NLT
You know the generous grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that by his poverty he could make you rich.
interpret your life by the cross
Ephesians 1:3–5 NLT
All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.

Faith effects your giving-

Hebrews 11:4 NLT
It was by faith that Abel brought a more acceptable offering to God than Cain did. Abel’s offering gave evidence that he was a righteous man, and God showed his approval of his gifts. Although Abel is long dead, he still speaks to us by his example of faith.
Cain was jealous of Abel- but Abel gave God His best-
You would think that if Abel gave up His best and Cain held onto His then Why would Cain be mad?
Because God bless Abel- and every time he gave His best away God gave him more an better back!
2 Corinthians 9:6–15 NLT
Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. As the Scriptures say, “They share freely and give generously to the poor. Their good deeds will be remembered forever.” For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you. Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God. So two good things will result from this ministry of giving—the needs of the believers in Jerusalem will be met, and they will joyfully express their thanks to God. As a result of your ministry, they will give glory to God. For your generosity to them and to all believers will prove that you are obedient to the Good News of Christ. And they will pray for you with deep affection because of the overflowing grace God has given to you. Thank God for this gift too wonderful for words!

Faith Cause you to Walk in obedience

Hebrews 11:7 NLT
It was by faith that Noah built a large boat to save his family from the flood. He obeyed God, who warned him about things that had never happened before. By his faith Noah condemned the rest of the world, and he received the righteousness that comes by faith.

Faith causes you to Walk in the Ways & Plans of God-

Hebrews 11:8–10 NLT
It was by faith that Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land that God would give him as his inheritance. He went without knowing where he was going. And even when he reached the land God promised him, he lived there by faith—for he was like a foreigner, living in tents. And so did Isaac and Jacob, who inherited the same promise. Abraham was confidently looking forward to a city with eternal foundations, a city designed and built by God.
My faith in Him being God causes me to walk out His word-
“Hear of Israel the Lord your God is one”- this is a statement of Faith- there are no other God
MY response to to Love God, because He is good and He loved me first, then to walk in His ways
This is the evidence of Faith
Matthew 7:16 NLT
You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they act. Can you pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?

Faith changes your current situation-

Hebrews 11:11–12 NLT
It was by faith that even Sarah was able to have a child, though she was barren and was too old. She believed that God would keep his promise. And so a whole nation came from this one man who was as good as dead—a nation with so many people that, like the stars in the sky and the sand on the seashore, there is no way to count them.
Even though is might Seem impossible
Mark 11:22–24 NLT
Then Jesus said to the disciples, “Have faith in God. I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart. I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.

Faith Comes through the Word-

Romans 10:17 NLT
So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ.
Everything you hear is trying to get you to believe it-
Politicians
News Stations
Memes
Liars
Comercial
Faith always comes from hearing-
But it matters what you are hearing- The Bible tells you- “Hearing from the Word of God”

Faith Causes you To act

Romans 8:31 NLT
What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?
Now faith grabs ahold of this Verse and makes it the reality of your life-
David and Goliath

Faith gets us what we desire-

Even Heaven
John 14:13 NLT
You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father.
Faith Takes ahold of the Promises of God and says “Those are for me!”
Luke 8:43–48 NLT
A woman in the crowd had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding, and she could find no cure. Coming up behind Jesus, she touched the fringe of his robe. Immediately, the bleeding stopped. “Who touched me?” Jesus asked. Everyone denied it, and Peter said, “Master, this whole crowd is pressing up against you.” But Jesus said, “Someone deliberately touched me, for I felt healing power go out from me.” When the woman realized that she could not stay hidden, she began to tremble and fell to her knees in front of him. The whole crowd heard her explain why she had touched him and that she had been immediately healed. “Daughter,” he said to her, “your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”
Her faith was her reality! If I can just touch Him Today-
Mark 5:24–29 NLT
Jesus went with him, and all the people followed, crowding around him. A woman in the crowd had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding. She had suffered a great deal from many doctors, and over the years she had spent everything she had to pay them, but she had gotten no better. In fact, she had gotten worse. She had heard about Jesus, so she came up behind him through the crowd and touched his robe. For she thought to herself, “If I can just touch his robe, I will be healed.” Immediately the bleeding stopped, and she could feel in her body that she had been healed of her terrible condition.

Faith Gets you the Victory-

1 John 5:4 NLT
For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith.
2 Chronicles 20:15 NLT
He said, “Listen, all you people of Judah and Jerusalem! Listen, King Jehoshaphat! This is what the Lord says: Do not be afraid! Don’t be discouraged by this mighty army, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.
