Your Will Be Done On Earth As It Is In Heaven

마태복음 6:10 NIV

10 your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Good evening everyone.

I’m Pastor John from New Jersey Onnuri Church and I am grateful for being able to come here today to share God’s word. And I truly hope that you all may be filled with the spirit of God and go back home changed by the grace of God.

Prayer - Link Heaven and Earth

To know God’s will to live on this earth.

Verse 10 is the basis of the application - this shows what we need to do in our lives.

Doing the will of God which is in heaven to be fulfilled on earth.

Imagine - What is in heaven? - Honestly we don’t know what is in heaven but think about what is on earth.

Earth - loads of cow dung. Hate -> Nope. We can know from our morals that there can’t be hate in heaven. For heaven is place where there is the governance of God and there can’t be hate. It goes against what God is. So we can’t know in details of what is in heaven. But what we can do to fulfill God’s kingdom in this world is to atleast get rid of what is not in heaven but is on earth. So what can we do? We could be loving. Instead of hating someone or something. Instead of expressing hate and to bring chaos into this world we can choose to be loving. This is what this short scripture is teaching us.

But I want to ask you all this question. Is this easy? Heck no. IF it was easy as I explained it to be then it isn’t going to be something we will be praying about. It would not be something that Jesus would have thoroughly taught to his disciples. But today, I hope that God gives us the strength to fulfill his heaven on this earth that we’re living in.

I Hope and I pray today that God will do his great work on us so that his will may be done to us. Amen? Amen.

11. Like how I said just then, it is hard to fullfil heaven on earth. To be honest, it is hard just to live according to the word of the Lord. It is easier to do the opposite. It is easier to do nothing. Why is that? Because the principals of the world works so that it goes the other way of the scripture. Life happens. Trouble comes. Hardship comes. Trials come. That is what life is. Sometimes it goes into a state where you question your existence to God. “God, why one earth are you putting me through all this?” My life even to this date, it is a continuation of this question.

12. It has only been 2 years and 6 months in the US for my wife and I. Before coming to the states, I lived in Seoul South Korea. And before living in Seoul, I lived in Sydney Australia. That is where my weird accent comes from. My parents and my sisters family still lives there, I am the only one who lives here in the States. So I have lived in 3 different countries I attended 3 different Elementary Schools, 3 different Middle School, 1 high School, 1 College, 2 Gradschools. I have been all over the place throughout my life time. I have never lived in one place over 5 years. I have always been travelling and moving. I did not do it out of my own will but during my time as a child and a teen I was forced by my parents choices.

To break down of when and where I lived, When I was 7 I immigrated to Australia. We did not move there on good terms. My parents were running multiple business at the time. But when one comes tumbling down, everything comes tumbling down. So, what later happened was that my family filed for bankrputcy

16. Hopes and prayers were to go back

17. Encounter - I am not going to send you back

18. Breakdown - Life is not where you want it to be. But what do I need to do now?

19. Student - Study, prepare for what to come as God wants us to be

20. If I was going to stay in Korea, if I was to seek his calling and know his will, I needed to be ready.

21. Not because I wanted to be good and well off. I wanted to but. Being in that lowly stage in life. I just want to be used by God.

22. That is me bringing back the kingdom of God here.

23. We need to know his will. We need to practice his will. But that starts from getting rid of what is not in heaven. My self pity, God wanted me to win. I got rid of that. Would there be lazy passive people willing to freeload off other effort? Nope. SO I did what I needed to do to get to college. It does not mean doing Good! But it means to get rid of the bad. actually that is the good but thats where our hearts need to start.

24. I don’t what kind of stage you are going through. But in Revelation 2:13

요한계시록 2:13 NIV

13 I know where you live—where Satan has his throne. Yet you remain true to my name. You did not renounce your faith in me, not even in the days of Antipas, my faithful witness, who was put to death in your city—where Satan lives.

This is our life. We live where satan is.

This was part of a scripture that was written to the church in Pergamum but despite being where satan is we need to get rid of that throne.

Think of what you are struggling with. Is there hate in heaven? Then get rid of it. Even though life is run on hate, get rid of it. Is there drugs in heaven? Nope. Is there sexual immoralities in heaven? Hope not. Is there addictions in heaven? Nope. That is not where God’s will is. So what we really need to do is get rid of all this trash and burn it in front of God. Get rid of you sins then through that act you are bringing down heaven on to this world. Because once you get rid of the bad and make room for the Good, that is when the Kingdom is fulfilled in the eyes of God.

25. This is what is need to be done through prayer. In order to be in tune with the Kingdom, to be intune with God and his will, in order to follow his path and will then we need to pray, that is why it shows that fulfilling God’s kingdom is the first thing we need to do.

27 You might ask, Pastor John what did God ever do to us for us to get rid of tha bad to fulfill heaven? Selfless sacrifice of Christ Jesus. Because this is what Jesus did. For there is no sin in heaven, For us to be with him in heaven, for this earth to be heaven, we needed to be saved. We needed to be cleaned. Through the love of Christ, we have salvation. Through his love and grace we have eternal life. This is what we ought to do. For the love of God. To do what Jesus did we need to do this.

26. What can you get rid of that in your life but is not in heaven?

27. Once you make that commitment and come clean, then God is going to bring heaven to your doorstep.

Lord, what do I need to get rid of? Let me know and get rid of these things.

Lord let this place be your kingdom. Expansion.
