1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, To the saints who are in Ephesus, and faithful in Christ Jesus:
2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,
4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,
A. Our salvation is an eternal status.
A. Our salvation is an eternal status.
He has restored, with his blood, the broken bonds between us and the the father
10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief. When You make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, And the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand.
11 He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied. By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many, For He shall bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, And He shall divide the spoil with the strong, Because He poured out His soul unto death, And He was numbered with the transgressors, And He bore the sin of many, And made intercession for the transgressors.
Because of Salvation we have:
Adoption into God’s Family
Power for living
Salvation

1. He Chose Us before the foundation of the world
1. He Chose Us before the foundation of the world
4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,
What an amazing and humbling feeling that the King of the universe chose us before the world began.
We are holy and blameless not because of our effort, but because of His!
2. He Predestined Us
2. He Predestined Us
5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,
Because God sits outside of and is not constrained by linear time. He can see the end from the beginning.
17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.
3. HE Adopted Us We have been adopted!
3. HE Adopted Us We have been adopted!
Adoption was a serious event in the Roman world. Although some rights came by birth, the rights of adoption were impenetrable. Because the adopter CHOSE to include an outsider into his family the status and inheritance COULD NOT BE REVOKED. It does not matter your previous status. Once you were selected your previous status was erased. You now have all the rights and privileges of a son!
5 to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.
6 And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!”
7 Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
Now that we belong to His son, He accepts us wholly.
4. He has redeemed US
4. He has redeemed US
7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace

He has purchased us from the shackel of sin.
19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
5. He seals us
5. He seals us
The Holy Spirit Seals us!
Sealed = certified. An assurance to those who have believed w/o seeing. Your salvation is not a feeling. It is a reality assured to us in the word of God.
Strong's Lexiconsphragizó: To seal, to set a seal upon, to mark with a seal
Original Word: σφραγίζω
Part of Speech: Verb
Transliteration: sphragizó
Pronunciation: sfrag-ID-zo
Phonetic Spelling: (sfrag-id'-zo)

Corresponding Greek / Hebrew Entries: The Hebrew equivalent often associated with the concept of sealing is חָתַם (chatham), Strong's Hebrew 2856, which means to seal or to close up.
Usage: The verb "sphragizó" primarily means to seal or to set a seal upon something. In the biblical context, it conveys the idea of authentication, ownership, security, and approval. It is used both in literal and metaphorical senses, such as sealing a document or a tomb, and sealing believers with the Holy Spirit.
The seal of Holy spirit authenticates us as believers and declares ownership By God.
The seal also indicated the approval of the owner.
13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,
14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.
