The First Adam and the Second Adam
The First Adam, being made in the image of God, longed for equality with God and saw it as something to be grasped. The Second Adam, was equal with God, but he did not see it as something to use for his own advantage.
The first Adam, desired to be great and refused to be God’s servant, grasping instead for the likeness of God. The Second Adam made himself nothing and took on the form of a servant and was made in the likeness of men.
The First Adam exalted himself and became disobedient unto death. The second Adam humbled himself and became obedient unto death.
The First Adam was condemned and disgraced to the dishonor of God the Father. The second Adam was highly exalted and was given the name of Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Use Romans 5:18 to contrast the first Adam and the Second Adam.
