Transcript
For we know that if the earthly tent which is our house is torn down, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
“We heard Him say, ‘I will destroy this temple made with hands, and in three days I will build another made without hands.’ ”
knowing that He who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and will present us with you.
“In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.
But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things to come, He entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation;

“Heaven is My throne and the earth is My footstool.
Where then is a house you could build for Me?
And where is a place that I may rest?

In context, Paul is not speaking of being with Christ immediately at death. Rather, he is looking to the second coming, at which time we will be raised and be with Christ in the new creation.
