Philippians 3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

To begin with brothers and sisters, Christian Friends, Well Wishers, and Saints of God Just forget about it, delete it, scrub it and start over. Sometimes in life you have to be willing to let some stuff go. Here we go !!! I’m lead by this powerful potent passionate text to teach about Don’t Look Back. A gentlemen told me Thursday morning Rev you can’t drive your car while you’re always looking in the rear view mirror. Rev I drive straight ahead because ain’t nothing behind me. Nothing at all. Listen folks the energy we spend looking at the past saps the power from the potential that is possible in your future. There was a verizon commercial where a man was stuck on a raft out in the sea. He had been there long according to his sun burnt face. His eye glasses were dirty and all of a sudden a girl comes on a jet ski and stops and help him with his dirty eye glasses. Then she asked him is there anything else that I can do for you? The strained at sea man said like what.… That floored me because it made me think. Some people are so stuck in the past until even if you throw them a true life line in the present they’ll said what’s that for. You don’t know what God has in store for your future. The best os yet to come. I’m sick of the past. I’m fed up with folly. I’m thoroughly through with thinking nothing doing nothing and going nowhere. I’ve been there and done that. It’s time to move forward to your best future.

People can fool you 3x. Make you think that you’re just ordinary when you’re actually extraordinary. I hate to use a cartoon show to teach from but the princess was stolen at birth by a witch and the witch looked her in a tower high up in the sky. I see several things here.

1. The word Brethren the word brethren in the Greek is the word Adelphos. Aldelphos (Add Doe fast)literally means my brothers and sisters because it speaks of a brotherliness like a Christian Fraternity. That means we ought to be together. We are one Father’s Children.

2. The text says “I count not myself to have apprehended:” The mere fact that he has to say that he’s not all of that indicates that the bible is right. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Nobody in here can claim to be all that right. I have not arrived. I have faults somebody say me too Rev. Don’t you just hate when somebody want to point out all of your faults but don’t say nothing about their own. My mo mo used say well ain’t that the pot calling the kettle black.

And my grandmother said Listen Raym your grandfather wasn’t the only man I ever loved so there are more fish in the sea and the best fish ain’t been caught yet.Sometimes God blesses you with the answer NO. I was going for a church in Baton Rouge and the citeria was if they wanted to do ball room dancing in the hall would you be okay with it,, I said in the Lord’s House. I glad I didn’t get that church. Because I don’t think that I’m gpping to have to say Don’t turn our precious fellowship hall into a bar type place just to get money. Somebody said that it couldn’t be done, but he with a chuckle replied That maybe it couldn’t, but he would be one who wouldn’t say so until he’d tried. So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin on his face. If he worried he hid it. He started to sing as he tackled the thing that couldn’t be done, and he did it. Somebody scoffed: “Oh you’ll never do that; At least no one ever has done it”; But he took off his coat and took off his hat, and the first thing we knew he’d begun it. With a lift of his chin and a bit of a grin without doubting or quiddit, He started to sing as he tackled the thing that couldn’t be done and he did it.

1. Paul said That he presses. Stop! It appears to me that the pressing part is an individual thing. It’s a personal thing and It appears that nobody else can’t PRESS FOR YOU. A great pastor taught me something a long time ago. He said Allen they members said that they wanted to build a float for the M.L.K. parade. I said ok He said but Allen II went up to the church and nobody was there to build the float but me. He said they said they wanted the float but they didn’t want to put in the work for it. He said Allen I’ve learned now that they’ve got to want to move forward it can’t just be you. And I’ve gotten education on the subject. Education teaches me this.. Do they want the float or is it just me. Because if the church really wants something they’ll collectively pursuit it. They’ll all agree to press toward 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

I like maps of highways and interstates all over the country. if you want to go too Los Angeles you’ve got to take I-10 West for 1,800 or so miles… but if you want to go to Jacksonville Florida you’ve got to take I-10 East for nearly 900 miles. But you can’t take both ways at the same time. Paul says I press towards the Mark. Meaning I’m going up the King’s Highway and I’ll meet a traveler every now and then. You can’t be on the devil’s road and Jesus’ road at the same time. You with God or you with the devil. The Mark is a goal but the Prize of Christ Jesus.

Because the bible says in Romans 10: 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. The bible says whosoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Are there any saved folk in the house?

Paul and Silas were thrown in the The Old Philippian jail. And at midnight they went to singing and praying and God heard Paul and Silas singing and praying and there was a shaking going on. The earth shook the jail, the jail shook the lock the lock shook the chains on Paul and Silas . Paul and Silas shook the prisoners and The Old Philippian Jailer thought that all of the prisoners had escape and was about to kill himself and Paul said do thyself no harm We are all here. The Jailer said Sir What must I do in order to be saved. Oh Lord and Paul said Only believe on the Lord and thous shalt be saved.. And the bible says the Jailer and his whole house got baptized. I So glad that I’ve got Jesus in my Life because He saved my Soul Made me whole He Pick Me up turn me around and Put my feet on Holy Ground Ain’t He Alright.
