I wrote her a song and changed the lyrics to Justin Bieber’s ‘Baby’,
Instead of “Baby, Baby, Baby, Oh”
It was… “Chloe, Chloe, Chloe, Oh”
“I just want you to be mine, mine”
Posted it on FB + tagged her in it.
I had so many voice cracks…
Brutal comment section:
“My ears are bleeding”
“Please never sing again”
“Zero aura”
“Man’s got no rizz”
Grandma comments, “bro delete this.”
Chloe commented (PUT SCREENSHOT UP ON SCREEN):
“It’s cute Josh :) and I guess I am lucky to have you, as a friend.”

As a young person I thought being in a relationship would fulfil me…
I was in a few relationships in high school and they never fulfilled me.
The truth is that we go looking for fulfilment in so many things:
Relationships
Friendships
Hobbies
Money
People’s approval of us
Social media
But NONE of those things will truly satisfy us.

GET JAYDEN ON STAGE.
There was a young person in the Bible named Joseph who went after fulfilment.
17-year-old who has a gift of interpreting dreams
He was his dad’s favourite child
Dad gives him a special gucci jacket
10 older brothers who hated him and were jealous
God gives him dreams that he’d be a ruler over his family - so he tells his bros and they HATE him even more
Genesis 37:18-21 ESV,
One day his brothers were out in the field doing work and Joseph went out to them… “18 They saw Joseph from afar, and before he came near to them they conspired against him to kill him. 19 They said to one another, “Here comes that dreamer. 20 Come now, let us kill him and throw him into one of the pits. Then we will say that a fierce animal has devoured him, and we will see what will become of his dreams.”
They then sell him as a slave and he travels to Egypt.
A place where he doesn’t know the language, the culture or anyone there…
CHAIN JAYDEN.
Joseph was CHAINED TO DISCOURAGEMENT.
Whenever you have a dream, you’ll have opposition.
Whenever you have a dream, you’ll have opposition.
God gives Joseph these dreams to show him a glimpse of his destiny.
God’s showing Joseph that there’s GREATNESS on his life!
You have a God-given destiny as well!
Destiny: simply put is God’s plan and purpose for your life.
God’s plan and purpose that He conceived even before you were born.
The enemy hates when you have a dream that you go after.
He’ll do everything in his power to stop it.
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy…
He’ll use people’s words, actions, your own insecurity, or discouragement from unexpected outcomes to hurt your life… AND PULL YOU AWAY FROM YOUR DESTINY.
BE CAREFUL WHO YOU TRUST WITH YOUR DREAMS AND DESIRES.
ARE YOU TRUSTING PEOPLE MORE THAN YOU’RE TRUSTING GOD?
THE ENEMY CAN’T TAKE AWAY YOUR DESTINY BECAUSE IT WASN’T HIS TO GIVE IN THE FIRST PLACE!
But Jesus says,
…I have come that you may have life, and have it to the full.
We then see that Joseph’s bro’s don’t kill him, but throw him into a pit and sell him as a slave to Egypt.
IMAGINE HOW THAT WOULD FEEL…
You’d feel so discouraged… The dream is OVER.
He’s in a messy situation (HELPER TO POUR MILK OVER JAYDEN’S HEAD)

Joseph’s dad, Jacob, is then told by Joseph’s brothers that he’s is dead.
Gen. 37:35-36,
“35 So his father wept for him. 36 Meanwhile, the Midianites sold Joseph in Egypt to Potiphar, one of Pharaoh’s officials, the captain of the guard.”
Jacob would’ve thought that Joseph’s life was over but MEANWHILE he was still alive!
Joseph would’ve thought that his life, dreams and destiny was ruined, but MEANWHILE it was still alive!
You might be going through something that’s discouraged you to the point where you’ve stopped believing that God has good things for your life…
but MEANWHILE, God is MOVING and WORKING to get you to your DESTINY!
All you have to do is keep trusting Him!

So Joseph was taken to Egypt as a slave, he was purchased by Potiphar, who worked for Pharaoh, the king of Egypt.
The Lord was with Joseph so that he prospered, and he lived in the house of his Egyptian master. When his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord gave him success in everything he did, Joseph found favor in his eyes and became his attendant…
Even though Joseph was going through a hard time, God was with him and helped him to succeed!
CLEAN UP JAYDEN
Gen. 39:6-10
“6 Now Joseph was a very handsome and well-built young man… (some say Joseph looked like Jordan Pfeiffer). 7 And after a time his master’s wife cast her eyes on Joseph and said, “Lie with me.” 8 But he refused and said to his master’s wife, “… you are his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness and sin against God?” 10 And as she spoke to Joseph day after day, he would not listen to her, to lie beside her or to be with her.”
He’s in another messy situation (HELPER TO SMASH PIE IN JAYDEN’S FACE)
CHAINS OF TEMPTATION
The enemy will bring temptation into your life to distract you from your destiny.
God never tempts us but he uses temptation to test our character to see if we can put Him first and handle the blessing He has for us.
Joseph puts God first and says no to the temptation and is then thrown into prison, unfairly…

But the Lord was with Joseph and showed him steadfast love and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison. And the keeper of the prison put Joseph in charge of all the prisoners who were in the prison. Whatever was done there, he was the one who did it. The keeper of the prison paid no attention to anything that was in Joseph’s charge, because the Lord was with him. And whatever he did, the Lord made it succeed.
Again, in the messiness God was with Joseph and helped him to succeed!
CLEAN UP JAYDEN
1. Joseph then helps someone get out of prison.
But then he’s forgotten about for another 2 YEARS!!!
HELPER TO POUR PRIME OVER JAYDEN’S HEAD.
2. Pharaoh then has a dream and nobody can interpret his dream, so then Joseph is remembered.
He gets out of prison and within a day becomes the second most powerful person in Egypt!
3. Joseph’s brothers come to Egypt to survive the famine.
Joseph’s brothers eventually apologised to him and beg for mercy.
Gen. 50:19-20
“19 But Joseph said to them, “Don’t be afraid. Am I in the place of God? 20 You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.”
CLEAN JAYDEN AND GET HIM OUT OF HIS CHAINS.
WITH GOD, YOUR CHAINS OF DISCOURAGEMENT BECOME CHAINS OF GRACE!
It was 13 years from his initial dreams to getting out of prison and then another 9 years before his family came to Egypt and bowed down to him…
That’s 22 YEARS before he saw God’s promise fulfilled!

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
When you love God and trust Him, He will work ALL THINGS together for good because HE LOVES YOU!

“All things are possible for one who believes.”
IF GOD DID THE SEEMINGLY IMPOSSIBLE IN JOSEPH’S LIFE, HE CAN DO IT IN YOURS!
If GOD took what the enemy meant to harm my life and turned it for GOOD, He can in yours as well!
