Thanks Jake!
I don’t know about you but, the world of science and technology is fascinating to me. Over the last few years, scientists and engineers have turned our world into a high-tech, technologically advanced world. We have seen scientists working on the “de-extinction” of extinct animals like the Wholly Mammoth and Sabertooth tiger, modern medicine is growing and changing daily, and we are seeing technological capabilities like never before. We are seeing self driving vehicles, Elon Musk sending human beings to outer space and having them back within a day later. We truly are living in the most advanced time of our lives.
In particular, the world of AI and VR is expanding like crazy! With websites like ChatGPT that can answer just about any question you may have in a matter of seconds, VR devices like the Oculus, and even Augmented Reality devices like the Apple Vision Pro or, the US Army’s Integrated Visual Augmentation system.
These devices and systems offer many different benefits from advanced learning, immersive tactical training for police and military, as well as a new level of creativity that is deeper than most humans are able to comprehend.
But, these new developments do come with a level of danger. Researches indicate historically high numbers of cheating in school because of AI, which is restricting students from learning their material through study and devotion. VR is opening up a new pathway to bring the internet, literally, right before your eyes, allowing people to operate an alternate life in the “metaverse”.

With the rise of social media and cell phone use skyrocketing throughout the youth, there is a virus that is plaguing this next generation. By living through a Virtual Reality, it allows us to hide who we truly are. Displaying one side of us while keeping a whole different side hidden. This leads to deep rooted insecurities and an overall depression among teenagers.
So, let me ask you a question. Who are you, really?
In a a world of AI, VR, and AR, how are we trying to hide or mask the things below the surface? Are we hiding sin?
