Do not be deceived, God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.

8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.

9 And let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary.

10 So then, awhile we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.

Ministry is something that builds up who we are
It made me who i am
It transforms you
it builds who you are
Christ gives energy
We reap what we sow
Pouring and serving into the church is how we get the church to grow
When the church pours into the younger generation, it’s how we get built up
I can point to people in the church that made me who i am
You may think that you aren’t qualified enough, don’t have the qualities to serve
how we grow in christ is serving
I served in teens ministry and i admit i did not have the qualities to serve
God doesn’t just transform your insecurities
doesn’t just zap all your problems
He puts you through situations where you can learn how to do them, and realize that it isn’t you, it’s all god
I became a leader at our teens camp
had that fear and worry i would not be able to lead like others
We do not compare, we do not strive for other people
we share the love of jesus
I was able to pray for kids
They asked how it was i was praying for exactly what they needed
He has transformed me in ways i never thought possible
I was asked to preach at teens
I was insecure, scared of people, social anxiety
God is bigger than my insecurities
God is bigger than our worries
I trusted him, and look where I am now
I can look back at my past and i can see that it was all god
He has healed me, through serving him
There’s something about putting God first in your life that actually transforms it
We hear it all the time
We think about it as if when we pray and read our bibles, he gives us blessings
I see something different
How god works in the bible is sometimes different
When God created us, he had an imagine in his mind
A soldier for the lord’s army
Perfect in his eyes

‘For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares Yahweh, ‘plans for peace and not for calamity, to give you a future and a hope.

How do we achieve god’s plan for us
How do we get on these footsteps
In my youth, my age i had no idea what my future was
It is a hard time, finding a career
What happens sometimes is we forget that our plans and ideas, may not be God’s
His word is final
What he has planned for us i gaurantee is far greater than our own
The older i get, the more i look back at some of my stupid ideas and am so glad that i did not do it
We often think how can I be sure that my future is what God wanted
We don’t hear a voice
We don’t get a prophecy
How do i follow God’s plan
Follow God’s calling for my life
Serve like Jesus served
Commit your works to Yahweh, and your plans will be established
God’s plan for me is far greater than anything I could ever come up withj
So if i serve in the church, earnestly
I can be confident that the path I am on, will benefit me
For good, or for bad
I am growing in christ, growing in the fruits of the spirit
I am helping the church

The aplans of the heart belong to man,

But the answer of the tongue is from Yahweh.

2 All the ways of a man are pure in his own sight,

But Yahweh weighs the motives.

3 aCommit your works to Yahweh

And your plans will be established.

4 Yahweh has made everything for its own purpose,

Even the wicked for the day of evil.

5 Everyone who is proud in heart is an abomination to Yahweh;

Assuredly, he will not be unpunished.

6 By lovingkindness and truth iniquity is atoned for,

And by the bfear of Yahweh one turns away from evil.

7 When a man’s ways are pleasing to Yahweh,

He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

8 Better is a little with righteousness

Than great produce with injustice.

9 The heart of man plans his way,

But Yahweh directs his steps.

God sustains us in ministry
Ministry is not a work, it’s an opportunity to serve and be filled with God’s presence.
Prayer and worship is when i feel closest with God, and his presence
Serving god is when i get the most inspired to keep serving
I say this a lot
But the times where i’m the most on fire for god
Is serving him
I can be having a rough day
I get into a conversation about christ with someone, i get inspired again

But I say, walk by the Spirit and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.

17 For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you do not do the things that you want.

The bible calls us to walk in the spirit
When we live our weeks, in god’s presence, it brings us closer to his spirit
When we have our prayers and fasts, we spend days in the church
When we have our youth camps and teen camps, kids camos
We stay in the presence, spirit of god, once we leave we again have to fight to live against the flesh
Being in church only on sunday, makes your spiritual life harder
When we serve in ministries, we serve ourselves
We spend more time in the church
We spend time ministering to each other
We spend time In the spirit
We are called to live and stay in the spirit everyday
We can try to act sometimes
But the truth is it is a battle for us to stay in the spirit
To stay crucifying the flesh everyday
Being in ministry is one of the easiest ways to stay in the spirit
When i serve in worship and preach, i am spending time in the bible, prayers, in god’s presence
The moments when i think i need a break, i want to be refreshed, i want to relax
i find myself struggling more an more to stay in the spirit
The basis of ministry is jesus christ
If we don’t have this identity for our minisitries, then our ministries can become for man and not for god
We can get burnt out
When we focus on things of the world instead of christ
The biggest ministry we can do is serving each other, personally ministering in each other’s lives

For I long to see you so that I may impart some spiritual gift to you, that you may be strengthened;

12 that is, to be mutually encouraged, while among you, by each other’s faith, both yours and mine.

1 And when I came to you, brothers, I did not come with superiority of word or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the witness of God.

2 For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified.

3 And I was with you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling,

4 and my word and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,

5 so that your faith would not be in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

Paul himself did not hold any power
Paul who transformed the roman empire, wrote our book today comes in fear, trembling, and weakness
Like us
We don’t hold power to change
When we compare, argue
When we spread the gospel
Spread the truth of rightouesness, thats when the power of god comes
Encouraged by each other’s faith
Building each other up
When we serve, we pour into the next generation
When we trust in god, he uses us in ways we could never imagine.
