Today we will learn that God had a design for Praise! Today I will show you the design of praise, The important of praise, and that it requires True Praise!
Before we get into the design of praise I need to tell you that the church has forgotten that there is even a design for praise.
A few ways we have absolutely miss the mark on our praise to God is;
1- We have aloud worldly influence to persuade our praise.
we worry about how we look to others when we praise.
We worry people are going to think about my past and judge me if I Give God praise.
Church to those of you sitting back and holding it in because of fear of others and what the may think about you.. shame on you! God deserves better from you. If you are ashamed of him, HE will be ashamed of you before His Father!
But, To those of you that mock others for praising God! How dare you try and shame someone for giving God all they have. You don’t know what kind of Hell God has delivered them from! They may swing their arms BUT, you don’t know what chains of addiction God has broken them from, They may run the isle but that’s because you don’t where in life they have been walking BUT through Christ their feet was set back on the straight and narrow, they may Shout because the old them once cursed and damned God BUT now being saved and sanctified Through the blood of Jesus Christ they shout and speak in the heavenly language.
Never judge someone’s praise to God almighty!!
2- Another way the church has failed at praising GOD and his design of praise is our praise shouldn’t be able to be mistaken as worldly praise!
Look inside the Muslim mosque.. there’s no question what they are doing
Look inside a Buddha temple… there’s no mistaken what the are doing
Now look at our mega churches today. The churches drawing the most attention. They have praise teams doing back flips off the stage, they have the congregation holding their phone out with the light on like a rock concert. To someone who just Got saved how are they suppose to see the difference. When the lord has commanded us to be set apart.
Read 2 Corinthians 6:17
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
3- Another way we have failed on God design of praise is WE think praise is only to be given after we feel God has answered on our prayers in our time frame..
Church this shows we have lost the fear of God.
But now lets get into Gods design of praise. If you have ever heard that “ there is no certain way to pray to God” I am hear today to tell you that was a bold face lie. And Our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST showed us this in Mathew 6:8-11..
Read Matthew 6:8-11
“Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. In this manner, therefore, pray:
Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
But church Gods design was given even long before that! Anyone who knows me knows one of my hero’s in the Bible is Moses! God used Moses to show us the design of praise as well
Read Exodus 5:1-3
And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness. And Pharaoh said, Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the LORD, neither will I let Israel go.
And they said, The God of the Hebrews hath met with us: let us go, we pray thee, three days’ journey into the desert, and sacrifice unto the LORD our God; lest he fall upon us with pestilence, or with the sword.
Now that we understands Gods design for praise now the importance of praise.
Church if something is mentioned in the Bible I believe it was put there put there under the Devine influence of God almighty so I believe its importance for us to know.
Praise and worship to God is mentioned over 8 thousand times in the Bible, I believe God was trying to get our attention! Church I believe God trying to say before the blessing come praise must Go up!
Sadly there are people that will never put God first in their life. Or they will never fully put HIM first in their life. And these are the people who are quick to blame God for everything Wrong in their lives. And God has shown us what happens to these types of people.
Now let’s Go back to Moses.
The people, Gods chosen people are in the desert and they are complaining to God that Moses has led them through the dessert to just be killed by starvation and thirst to death. At this point God has had enough and he sent serpents to come from the earth and bite them and kill them by the hundreds ..then they came to their senses and then they came to Moses and said we have sinned by speaking against the LORD and against you. Pray that the LORD will take away the snakes… now we know this story we know God made a way for them even after this but I chose this story to show you something. I chose this story because this happened in the book of numbers. Church you had exodus to happen, then Leviticus to get to the book of numbers.
they failed God design of praise even after being delivered from the 10 plagues of Egypt
They blamed God after being shown the way by a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night
Blamed God after seeing God part the Red Sea, Then drowning Pharaoh and his entire army
Blamed God even after he gave them manna from heaven
Blamed God after he brought water from a rock to drink
Blamed God after seeing God win wars against huge armies and Giants
Blamed God when they came to city of Mariah and was thirsty saw water but couldn’t drink it because it was bitter but God told Moses to throw in a piece of wood then they could drink
after Seeing all of these things the still was blaming God over there issues. Instead of taking what they have learned and started to praise God because they knew he would deliever them they doubt and blamed God .. so for their CONTINUOUS disobedience that whole generation that chose themselves over God.. He let that whole generation die out before delivering them to the promise land.
Are you going to be a generation that praises God and makes it to the promise land or will you be the generation that knows of the promise land but chooses yourself and dies out with this world.
My last thing is not just the design of praise, and not just the important of praise BUT it has to be a TRUE PRAISE!
Something Changes when your praise becomes a True praise. When you are following the design God has laid out and you are doing it with a sincere heart your praise becomes a sacrifice of praise.
See back to Moses God instructed him to build a temple for Gods presents to dwell with his people. This became the temple in which the people could bring their sacrifices to Aron the high priest so he could make sacrifices for the peoples sins. And Aron the high priest entered the throne room of GOD.
if you study Moses journey it was a foreshadowing of the life of Christ
The temples 3 door ways was the way, the Truth, and the veil of life.
And Jesus said HE was the temple. And That HE is the way, the Truth, and the Life NO-ONE goes to the father except through HIM!
And when our LORD died for us GOD tore the veil and now we have direct access to the thrown.
IN CLOSING
BUT access to the thrown room isn’t free! It still cost something. Just as the days of Moses it still requires a sacrifice! It requires a TRUE Sacrifice of PRAISE
This means understanding the design of praise God has laid out from time of Moses through the time of our LORD and Savior, and the importance of praise in your walk with Christ, and to have nothing less than TRUE praise.
Read Hebrews 13:15
By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
The TRUE sacrifice is where a lot of Christian’s are failing.
Prayers wont get answered until we start praying and reaching the throne room. But we can’t reach it with Giving God praise first before we ask for something or before we see the answer or the way out! That’s the sacraifice is that even though we don’t see a way out or even though we are hurting we are gonna Praise you anyways!
