Scripture Text

After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. 2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, fa throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne. 3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.

18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, 20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: 22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, 23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all. Eph 1:18–23.

Background Story

Why would a president candidate spend millions in running for a position that only pays $400,000?
Obviously it’s not for the money, so what is gain? Well the position comes with great power and authority.
Is there an area an your life that hinders you from being your best self. Are there circumstances that bring great frustration, because they refuse they change.
Many times the solution we are looking for is power.

What is power

Power can be expressed in many different ways
Physical power
Social power - the capacity to shape opinions, and relationships
Economic Power – Control over resources, wealth, and financial systems.
Political Power – The ability to influence or control people, policies, or governments.
Psychological Power – The ability to influence thoughts, emotions, and behaviors of oneself or others.
Boils down to the freedom or ability to bring about change. Say Ability and Authority.

The Absence of Power

In the absence of power what happens is fear begins to creep in
2 Timothy 1:7 “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
What has caused you fear and prevented you from moving forward.?
What fears have hindered you GOD’s best? What degrees has been left unfinished because you were afraid? What positions at work have you turned down or never applied because you didn’t think you were qualified?
Fear has paralyzed some of us, and cause us to sieze and not move .

Back to Ephesians

Paul writing to the churches in the region of Ephesus. Ephesus, we the third biggest city in the Roman empire, and was main focal point of commerce and business in Western Asia at the time.
During one of Paul’s imprisonments, he writes to the saints in Ephesus, and not long after his opening greeting, he mentions to this group that he is praying for them, and one of the key pray points is that would understand the exceeding greatness of GOD power, and that power was express and released in Jesus Christ.

His power works

verse 19 “what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power”
Tell someone “His power is for us, but we got to work it”
He expressed his power when he raised Jesus from the dead, and seated him at his right hand.
Far above all principalities, powers, might, dominion, every name that name - you fill in the blank. Your enemies, your fears, what got you stuck, he far above all that.
He put all things under his feet, and the church is part of body of Christ, therefore all things are also under your feet.

John see the throne

Now Apostle John is cast away on an island he begins to see a vision. Now after John had written something about the 7 churches in Asisa, he says a a door was opened in Heaven, and he heard and voice, then the first thing he saw was a throne, and one sitting on the throne. And he that sat

The dream and it meaning

We are called to sit

Time to stop running
I am no longer afraid, take your place of authority and power
Take your place of authority
Jesus and sitting on his throne because of his rulership, he is also the righteous Judge, but also he is seated and not going anywhere.
Go home this week, and find chair - court is in session. Begin to judge those things in your life where GOD has given you authority.
Tell your enemies you can’t have my children. You can have my spouse, you can’t have my parents
Make a declaration of your job. You can take my positions. GOD has given me this job, and no one can take it until he is ready for me to leave.
Speak against sickness
Speak against hatred, unforgiveness,
Give me back my love, return my peace of mind now, return my joy so I dance dance dance,
My heart is restored, my fianances are restord.

Meanings of a throne

A throne is a not just a fancy chair, but also a place of authority and power. It’s like an office, or governmental seat.
A seat to chair can have multiple meaning or purposes
A place to take rest
A place of authority or rulership
A place of a judge who give judgements
A place where one remains

You are enpowered John 14:2-3

In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
He has prepared a place for us to sit where he sits.
Sit down in your place of authority.
