Shepherding is the care and supervision a shepherd offers a flock. In the Bible, shepherding and related imagery are often used metaphorically to depict God’s pastoral care of Israel in the OT and to depict how Jesus and his leaders attended to the Church in the NT and to us today.

the Lord appeared to him from far away. I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.

Think of a shepherd with his flock on a sunny day. Each sheep grazes freely, but they stay close because they know their shepherd is nearby. They trust his voice and presence. In the same way, when we cultivate a relationship with God, we can navigate life confidently, knowing He is watching over us and guiding our steps. We are never alone, even when the world seems big and overwhelming

The shepards always has a sheep that wants to have an adventure, but cpould fall into ahole or cravass. I;m sure you have seen a picture of a shepard caring a baby sheep, it looks so loving.

however, shepards not out of cruelty, but love, discpline the little sheep by breaking it’s ankes. This causes the sheep not to wander off where the shepard cannot help them in trouble. The baby sheep sits on the shouder of the shepard allowing the little sheep to listen to the masters voice and touch. The little sheep falls in love withe shepard and when healed will not leave the shepard when the little lamb hears his voice.

Imagine a shepherd who knows each sheep by name. He walks among them, gently guiding them away from dangers while also providing comfort and nourishment. This mirrors how God shepherds us through life. Just as a shepherd cares for every sheep, God intimately knows our struggles, fears, and joys. In moments of uncertainty, we can trust that He is leading us to green pastures and still waters, even when we cannot see the path ahead.
