1 Corinthians 1:10–17 (ESV) 10 I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment.
United in mind not gift
It takes diversity to be the Church that God called us to be
it is our differences that we embrace that push the church foreword.
There is only On way to heaven but there is not just one way to serve him.
United in the same judgment not above it
We are all going to be judge on what we say and do
make sure you give the same grace that you are asking for from Chrst
we are no better then anyone else
Do not look for peoples sins, see past them and see the person that God created,
help point them in the right direction
allow them to make their choice to walk away from their sin
and love them in ever right and wrong decision just as God loves us when we do right or wrong.
11 For it has been reported to me by Chloe’s people that there is quarreling among you, my brothers. 12 What I mean is that each one of you says, “I follow Paul,” or “I follow Apollos,” or “I follow Cephas,” or “I follow Christ.” 13 Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul? 14 I thank God that I baptized none of you except Crispus and Gaius, 15 so that no one may say that you were baptized in my name. 16 (I did baptize also the household of Stephanas. Beyond that, I do not know whether I baptized anyone else.)
Its not about following anyone
Its not about the person who stands behind the pulpit
Its all about Jesus.
Jesus is what grew the church
Jesus is who brought us together
Jesus is the one still leading and move if we let him
Jesus is the focus. Follow Him.
17 For Christ did not send me to baptize but to preach the gospel, and not with words of eloquent wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.
Let the Cross Speak for it self
dont over complacate it
dont try to build a name on it
its meant to be simple for EVERYONE
allow it to be
As we do this, the church will grow
