The Attitude

1. The Attitude we have to have to be Successful with others. The NLT says

Amos 3:3 Can two people walk together without agreeing on the direction?

KJV 3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed?

The NIV 3 Do two walk together unless they have agreed to do so?

The bible says that there is a way that seems right to a man but the ways thereof are the ways unto death.

You can’t get nowhere together being divided.. Saints of God we are living in some perilous times and

Paul says to the Galatians 3:1-4 1 O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? 2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? 3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? 4 Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain. 5 He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

Listen to me It’s time for prudent sober minds to pull together to accomplish what God wants for His church. We can not get sidetracked like a Foolish Galatian from Galatia

Brothers and sisters we simply can’t be divided. we must stick together. I told you that march is a tricky month. People change like the weather in march People change like the wind and be wrong and don’t care that they are wrong.

Look at I Cor.1:10 KJV Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. 11 For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you. 12 Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. 13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you?

The Holy Ghost through Paul’s writing is saying that Some of you’ll want to follow this click and that clan but Christ is not divided.

If you do that, It’s not going to go too well for you to play church politics and forget church polity.

The word of God says in Galatians 5:15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another. 16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

I always thought that it was kind of crazy and koo koo and weird that the local church fights against itself. Those are the same people you go to church with every Sunday, See in the grocery store every week and some of the same people you see in and around in your community.

1 Cor. 3:5  NLT After all, who is Apollos? Who is Paul? We are only God’s servants through whom you believed the Good News. Each of us did the work the Lord gave us. 6 I planted the seed in your hearts, and Apollos watered it, but it was God who made it grow. 7 It’s not important who does the planting, or who does the watering. What’s important is that God makes the seed grow. 8 The one who plants and the one who waters work together with the same purpose. And both will be rewarded for their own hard work. 9 For we are both God’s workers. And you are God’s field. You are God’s building.

And that say that folk got to stop wanting to be on this side and that side and anybody can say anything and you believe it. But the bible says in the KJV in Ephesians 4:14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; 15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: 16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

Listen to me we had a hot debate in the seminary about how so called holy people will follow wrong doctrine all day long. We’ve got to learn to being holy. The scriptures say be ye holy for I am Holy said the Lord of Hosts. I’m talking about The Attitude Folks.

I’m talking practical language today because It’s important to know the Attitude that we have to have to be successful with others paramount. The late great Dr Isaac Greggs Southern’s Band Director said Allen tell them that no man is an island entirely of himself, we are all a part of the mainland. Look at 1 Cor.10:21 and let’s see what standards and code of ethics and Plumb lines we must follow I Cor. 10:21 NLT says 21 You cannot drink from the cup of the Lord and from the cup of demons, too. You cannot eat at the Lord’s Table and at the table of demons, too. 22 What? Do we dare to rouse the Lord’s jealousy? Do you think we are stronger than he is? 23 You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is good for you. You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is beneficial.

You can’t just do what you want to, then! try to step back in when it’s convenient and try to run things. God requires holy standards for living a righteous lifestyle.

Folk that’s like that, are so carnal minded until They don’t even see when they do something wrong.

Like the people in the book of Haggai They said What.. What we did? We didn’t do anything wrong wrong.. And the problem was that God’s house was falling down while their own houses were lush and plush.

Brothers and sisters all of that meeting on the meeting and not getting nothing done ain’t worth a dime.Fix God’s House. Whatever she need do it and God will be Pleased. Type in there Amen.

#2 The Attitude of Kindness will carry you a longgg ways in life.

I went to Starbucks for my morning coffee and The Brewsters said that one of The young college student move away with her Finace/boyfriend after she graduated. I asked about her and she sent a message back to me and said “when you see Mr. Allen again tell him I’m doing good and I think about the encouragement he gave every time he came to Starbuck for his morning coffee”. Brothers and sisters Kindness is better than being a rough and tough bully.

Because the bible says in Romans 12:9-10 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. 10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;

I’m going to do my best to be kind to you. Don Carl eon, The Godfather said I won’t be the one to break the peace that we have set up here today. Even gangsters have a code of honor. What about the Christian Community. The unknown author said

Kindness supersedes crazy any day The greatest lever to move the hearts of men is by acts of kindness. Kindness is the prime factor in overcoming friction and in making our human machinery run more smoothly. If a man, mistakenly, is your enemy, you can not disarm him in any other way so surely as by doing him a kindly act. Yes, if we are strong enough to do a kindness to someone who has wronged us, there is no more certain way of bringing about restitution than by an act of sincere kindness, either by word of mouth or by hand and deed. Kindness is the one thing that you cannot give away It always comes back! 2x

My teachers in middle school, my teachers in High School, my teachers in College, and my teachers in Seminary all spoke this into my spirit man.

Your Attitude determines your Altitude 3x because no matter how smart you are, nobody want to be around somebody that has a nasty attitude all the time.

Listen to me, A nice person is liable to get anything I got. And a mean nasty low down person ain’t getting a dime from me even if they try to take it from me. And what I mean by that is.Some folk try to make you mad!!! ON PURPOSE. They can’t stand to see you happy because they so miserable. And misery loves company.

And that’s when I’ve got to pull out the word of God The bible says be ye angry and sin not.. Because That’s a hard pill to swallow.

But if you want to win, you got to put your flesh under spiritual subjection because you can conquer your own self will. It’s one of the fruit of the spirit called self control. Everybody has Free Will. But Don’t forget this.. Education is that you remember how they made you feel when they threw you under the bus in front of others to make them feel good that they made you feel some kind of way. Don’t forget that. That’s Education

The Attitude 3x . Our behavior matters

#3 The Attitude we have to have when we Represent God’s Temple.

Brothers and sisters I sincerely try to live by this Look at Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

It’s hard to live in this sinful world and not engage in it’s vices and devices. Because America is based on competition if you ain’t winning you losing… Sorry Charlie. But that’s the way it is.

But God’s law says but you’ve got to be separated and set apart from the world’s system. 1 Cor.3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

Here’s what I’m talking about If your job require you to lie, cheat, game, and steal from folk legally… Then what the difference between you and the gangsters and the thugs and the robbers and the thieves and the crooks. I’m going to make it plain watch this

People who want to cut out your SS. People who want to cut off FEMA, People who want to cut out your right to vote. People who are deporting innocent hard working immigrants who don’t get in no trouble and don’t want no trouble. People who want to cut off PBS and sesemy street they enrich children’s lives. They wannt to cut off the school feeding programs.And everybody know them children act up in school when they ain’t go nothing to eat.

That’s the angel that I mean when I see be not conformed to this world. 2025 This is worse than Jim Crow and ain’t nothing but is a sneeze away from slavery and civil war.

I stopped watching TV because That stuff was stressing me out !!! Then in my weakness the Lord said in 1 Peter 5:7 to Cast all your care upon me for I careth for you. The devil is roaming around as a roaring lion But if you’re covered by the blood of Jesus the devil can’t do you no harm… Type in there Amen.

And for those of us who are out there struggling look at 2 Cor. 12: 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. Man look!!! I strong when I turn thing over to the Lord. I’t empowering when you turn it over to the Lord. Because you have sense enough to know that God can handle anything Everything and the only thing God can’t do is Fail…

So if the only thing that God can’t do is fail the Promise me that you won’t do this Look at

2 Peter 2:22 KJV But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

The NLT says 22 They prove the truth of this proverb: “A dog returns to its vomit.” And another says, “A washed pig returns to the mud.” I’m not a clinical psychologist. I took a lot of Psychology at Southern University and Dr Jacob nem did a fine job teaching me.

But common sense tell us that if you go back to that old lifestyle and do not change your Attitude you’ll find yourself figuratively like a dog going back to your own vomit.

In other words that old way of living didn’t beat you up enough, you had to go back to it ,and get don e worse. Wosrer 3x You done got so bad with your old behavior that now you done turn into a pig that wallows in his slop. Did you know that you can clean a pig off dress her up put a pretty little hat on her head, even put red lip stick on her lips. But as soon as that pretty pig see that muddy slop she’ll go wallow in it all over again and forget that you clean her up. SOMEBODY ASK ME WHY? Because we just change the clothes but not the nature of the pig. It’s the same way with the Christian. We’ve got to change our old nature and then our lifestyle will line up with our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ. Jesus said To Nicodemus in John 3 You must be Born Again. Your heart got to Change. Your mind got to change The word says Let this mind be in you that is in Christ Jesus. Your walk has got to change because the bible say we should walk worth of the vocational calling that’s been placed on our Lives In Other words The Attitude has got to change to be successful because you attitude determines your altitude.
