a. BIG – Jesus + nothing = everything

b. BIG – We can do nothing to earn salvation.

c. BIG – Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus, not by works.

i. Beware of worshipping traditions (v. 1-5)

1. Traditions are not bad, but they should not be made into a stumbling block for others to come to faith in Jesus

ii. Evaluate your experience through Scripture (v. 6-18)

1. There are a lot of people with a lot of experiences in the world. We must evaluate the testimonies of others and our own experiences through the teachings of Scripture

iii. Keep the main thing, the main thing (v. 19-21)

1. The priority of the believer is worship

2. Sexual sins must be avoided because they uniquely affect us (1 Cor 6:18)
