intro:

There is a serving opportunity at a growth community. They are looking for people to do some childcare. I’ll put more information into the text tonight, but if you’re interested, please let me know. This will be something that you manage with the growth community leader feel free to check and talk with your parents to see if it’s something they’re OK with you doing. This would be just watching kids while the adults have a grow community at a offsite location in grand Blanc.

Text:

When you’re in charge of something when you’re giving a task and you’re putting in charge. When you’re given a leadership opportunity, what is your first response to that opportunity?
Let’s say you offered the opportunity to lead worship with kids on Sunday or teach Attawan on Wednesday
What’s the first thing you do when you begin to prepare?
I personally believe that preparation begins with prayer…
Apart from Christ, according to John 15, we can do nothing
John 15:5 ESV
5 I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
I want to take a few moments with your Bibles and find me a passages that talk about prayer
Find passages that tell us why we should pray
Maybe what we should pray for
Or maybe how we should pray
Take about five minutes try to find some passages and I’ll call in a few of you to share what you find
