Introduction

The gospel writer Mark gives us his account of the Triumphant Entry in chapter eleven. The triumphant entry is the fulfillment of Zechariah’s prophecy concerning the Messiah.
Zechariah 9:9 “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.”
Jesus sends two disciples to bring the colt for Him to ride on. Just as the Lord told them, they found the colt tied by the door without in a place where “two ways met.” There are many crossroads in our lives. The Triumphant Entry was a crossroads for the nation of Israel. This morning I would like to give you three crossroads that are of great importance.
The Crossroad of Salvation
Matthew 7:13–14 “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”
Here we have the most important spiritual decision we will ever be confronted with in life. It is the decision to receive Christ or reject Christ. Many have come to this crossroad of salvation and have taken the wrong road. This is a sad reality for Jesus died for all. Today, you may be at the crossroad of salvation in your life.
The Crossroad of Separation
There are many who have trusted Christ through simple faith. However, they are living defeated lives for some reason. These believer’s are having a difficult time with separation.
2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
We also must address a sad truth concerning separation. There are believer’s who have no desire to break from the world and live in total submission to the Lord. There are many who are in love with self and just as those who can’t give up the world these believer’s find it difficult to give up self.
2 Corinthians 6:17 “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,”
The Crossroad of Situation
Now, you have cast trusted Christ, you have made a choice to live a separated life pleasing to the Lord. Christian I tell you down life’s pathway you will be faced with situations. There will be situations that you will not be able to avoid. There will be situations that you will need to avoid but you don’t. There may be a family situation, a job situation, a church situation, a personal situation. The crossroad of situation can be a dangerous place in a believer’s life. Satan will use every situation he can to cut God’s people down. He is determined to hinder and even stop them from serving God. He has his sight’s on hindering the church. Jesus told us Satan is a thief and robber. If we fail to heed the Spirit’s warning, Satan will certainly rob us our joy.
Colossians 2:18 “Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,”
2 Corinthians 11:3 “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.”
1 Peter 5:8 “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:”

Conclusion

At each crossroad you come to in life always choose Jesus!
