1.) What does unity mean?

a state of oneness or of being in harmony and accord

Unity is more than simply living along side one another. It is the act of being unified under a specific goal.
Adam And Eve (One Flesh)
Genesis 2:24 KJV 1900
24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
It is not Good (beneficial) for man to dwell alone.
Adam said:
Bone of my bones” “Flesh of my flesh” / a reuniting of the body
Gods perfect will is “one flesh” as they go through life
Not two opposing forces
Help meet - opposite not opposing.
Walk with the same purpose of mind and intent in life
In understanding that all good things and all pleasant things come from God and God alone — Unity is the combining of what is good and pleasant. Creating a productive and effective relationship directed towards a goal, the gospel.

2.) What does unity look like?

Assembling together
Hebrews 10:24–25 KJV 1900
24 And let us consider one another to provoke (encourage) unto love and to good works: 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Avoid strife
Ephesians 4:3 KJV 1900
3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Unity must revolve around the the proper leadership… the Spirit. Following the unity of the Spirit will cause us to love one another because that what the Spirit has done to us.
1 Peter 3:8–9 KJV 1900
8 Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion(Sympathy) one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful(compassion/tenderhearted), be courteous: 9 Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.
Love one another
1 Peter 4:8 KJV 1900
8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

3.) Am I in unity?

Do we gather for the same purpose?
Romans 15:5–6 KJV 1900
5 Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: 6 That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 12:13 KJV 1900
13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
Speak the same doctrine (ask questions if you don’t know)
1 Corinthians 1:10 KJV 1900
10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

4.) Jesus Christ will call for His body.

If we do not hold the unity of the Spirit here… we are in for a rude awakening. Unity is vital to our walk with God.
Revelation 11:15 KJV 1900
15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
