Introduction
Pastor Tim laid out how God set the framework for our eternity – Habitual Grace.
We. Have. The. Victory! Hallelujah!!
In light of this truth, let me ask you a question.
How many of you are walking around victorious?
Better said, are you living or existing?
Identities – Many are in their jobs, their family, their successes, whatever the case may be. It will never be enough. It is like a drug. The more you get the more you will need. It will also always let you down. Eventually, that identity will let you down.
It has already been determined that we could not live the Christian life on our own. The question is have you been caught up to speed yet? You cannot do it. Did you hear me? You CANNOT do it! You cannot pray enough. You cannot cannot enough!!!
God had, therefore, determined in his infinite wisdom and love to give us the Holy Spirit as both a stamp on our life that we are His but to give us the power, or grace, we need to live it.
(Joh 16:7) Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.
I. Actual Grace
II. What is Actual Grace?
A. By definition, Actual Grace is the spiritual, inner aid with which God enlightens our understanding and strengthens our will to accomplish spiritual act through his Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit…the third person of the Triune God…the Holy Trinity. He indwells and seals every believer (John 14:16-17; Romans 8:9-16; 1 Corinthians 3:16; Ephesians 1:14-14) glorifies Christ (John 16:13-14).
B. Actual Grace is the spark (light and heat – giving light and strength) which produces the spiritual outcome.
It is God’s aid…God’s intervention into our lives…put there to help us. It’s a free gift…a present from God…received through faith from Christ Jesus His Son.
C.Need for Actual Grace – Man is powerless to attain the supernatural end by himself.
D. When He gives Actual Grace to us – God grants us His Actual Grace at opportune moments.
E. How He gives Actual Grace to Us
