How to handle Corruption
The Bible says to expose unfruitful works
Don’t hang out with people that do unfruitful works and Expose the people that do them
Ephesians 5:11 “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.”
Reprove means to expose or rebuke
Do it Lovingly. Earlier in Ephesians 5:1 Paul tells us to walk in love as christ loved us.
Ephesians 5:1–2 “Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.”
John 13:34 “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.”
Handle it appropriately
How to handle inappropriate jokes
I think we allow inappropriate jokes way to much and the Bible says not to
sex jokes or acts of fornication are not okay and Paul clearly points that out in this verse
Ephesians 5:3 “But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;”
I might as well add cursing on top of that. there are multiple Bible verses on cussing and foul language yet its one of the most common things seen in this world today.
Ephesians 5:4 “Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.”
Ephesians 4:29 “Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.”
God wants us to glorify Him and if we cuss like a sailor we are being disobedient.
I leave you with this: If you see someone cussing at school or if you hear a dirty joke, gossiping, or anything of the sort you should say something. The Bible tells you to do it. Don’t let the devil lie to you whenever people don’t like your call out either. make sure you do it in a loving and Christlike way.
I’m praying for you all
we should do a Bible study on the book of Ephesians.
