To begin with brothers and sisters as we glint, gleam, and gaze at this glorious text. I’d have to ask this pertinent question. Why did that Alabaster Box cause so much trouble? Because after all the Alabaster Box or flask was a common commodity.

If you were poor and you wanted something of value , you’d do your best to acquire an Alabaster Box of precious ointment. But that’s not really the problem though. The problem is classism. And the socialite status of the upper echelon.

I remember promising my wife that we would create The Allen/Wilson Estate right there on side of her father’s house. In relation to the text Mary wanted Jesus to do well.But brothers and sisters they’ve got people who don’t want to see you do good. And they are all around you all the time. And so they were all around Jesus all the time. People can be all in your face smiling and everything but don’t bit more mean you no good than the man on the moon.

Early on in chapter 26 the pharisees were plotting how they were going to kill Jesus. And in contrast Jesus’ friends were honoring and blessing him with a dinner. Honor the Man of God. Give honor to whom honor is due, and tribute to whom tribute is due.

And Mary is bestowing Great Honor on Jesus. And so Let’s take a look at this potent, powerful, passionate text.

And what we find is that although each tell the story, the story is told from different lens and angles.

Then be crucified and put to death on a Roman cross but three days later would get up out of a dusty grave with All Power in His Hands. May be Mary heard Jesus! Then Jesus full understood where their hearts were, He saidin verses 10-13 10 When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me. 11 For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always. 12 For in that she hath poured this ointment on my body, she did it for my burial. 13 Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her. I’m through when I tell you that Jesus is Omnipotent Omniscient and that He Omnipresent In other words He’s Got All Power in His hands. He’s Knows about Everything and He’s everywhere at the same time.

And I’m so glad that Mary anointed Jesus because it give me room to do the best I can for the Most Wonderful and Magnificent God of all times. In other words Jesus is the GOAT The Greatest Of All Times. Is there anybody in here that Love My Jesus/ Don’t fool me now but you love Him Honor him Respect him and Obey Him why don’t you stand to your feet and tell your neighbor I love the Lord … I love the Lord because He heard my cry and pitied my every groan and Long as I live while trouble rise I’ll hasten to my God throne.
