“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.
We are honored today to dedicate this child to the Lord.
Sparks

Son of Justin and Carmen Sparks
Of course, we know the sparks family well.
They are a special part of our church family and church leadership team.
Today
Today is a time both of offering back to God what he has privileged and blessed us with in children,
and of vowing to fulfill his command found in the afore quoted scripture and
Train up a child in the way he should go;
even when he is old he will not depart from it.
This is a joyous occasion.
And We follow in the steps of Christ himself in presenting these children to the lord as recorded in Luke 2:22
And when the time came for their purification according to the Law of Moses, they brought him up to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord
Speak to the families
Justin, Carmen, As Parents..
The lord has entrusted you with the blessing of raising and nurturing this child.
You have a responsibility to model Christ before him,
to be an example of living a Godly life before him,
to train him in the ways of the Lord,
to keep the Lord before him in your home,
to care for, nurture, provide, love and admonish him.
Promise
As a promise before the lord do you as his family vow to uphold these things in his life? If so, please respond I will.

As it’s been said, it takes a village to raise a child.
Church as a body we have the responsibility to pull our weight in relationship with this child and family.
To continue to pray for, edify, love and uplift them through the joyous and sorrowful times in life.
We have a part in raising, training, nurturing and loving them.
and we have tried to take that responsibility seriously over the last five years we have known you.
Promise
As a promise before the Lord, do you as there church family vow to uphold these items in there life?
If so would you as a congregation respond with I will.
