2 Samuel 6:14–16 “And David danced before the Lord with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod. So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the Lord with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet. And as the ark of the Lord came into the city of David, Michal Saul’s daughter looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the Lord; and she despised him in her heart.”
Psalm 149:3 “Let them praise his name in the dance: Let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.”
Psalm 150:4 “Praise him with the timbrel and dance: Praise him with stringed instruments and organs.”
Isaiah 35:6 “Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, And the tongue of the dumb sing: For in the wilderness shall waters break out, And streams in the desert.”
It Matters how we worship! God Commanded us to worship him
Matthew 4:10 “Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.”
It matters that you worship. Your worship is your weapon against the enemy. Your worship is something that is desired by God he wants your worship. he wants you to lift him up. every time you get the chance to worship God you better do it. because it’s through your worship that you may get blessed. that chains may fall and walls start to tear down.
Don’t you ever think that you worship God for no reason. there is a reason behind your worship.
if i asked you why do you worship God what would you say?
God deserves your praise look back at your life through out your whole life span and think of the goodness of God. think about what he has done for you. think about how good he has been to you.
He deserves your shout your dance and your leap.
that is a biblical praise! a dance like David
Your Praise is a way out of your situation. We get so caught up with whats going on in our lives that we forget to praise God outside of the church and once we get in the church we lack the praise that he deserves.
Praise is a form of communication with God its a way of thanking him of lifting him up. I dont think we can have a sensior relationship with God without praise. its a vulnerable thing to do your putting yourself out there. But you cant let the rocks cry out. you cant let someone else give God your praise.
Did You know that there is victory in your praise. One thing the enemy hates is when you give God Glory. When your worship God your literally stomping on the devils head. Thats why after losing his family and everything he had and going through the test God put him through after it was all said and done job praised God.
Paul and Silas in Prison (Acts 16:16-34
Whenever a preacher is teaching on “praise,” you can expect to hear a reference to this passage. And rightfully so! It is one of the most potent stories of worship in the Bible. However, it may be too familiar for us to recognize how striking their actions actually are.
Paul and Silas are thrown in prison, and “about midnight,” they begin “praying and singing hymns to God” loudly enough for other prisoners to hear. On my better days, it’s unlikely that in that situation, my response would be identifiably Christian at all, let alone that of singing hymns!

This story of worship in the Bible highlights two very different outcomes for Paul and Silas when they do what’s right.

First, they cast out demons from an oppressed girl and are imprisoned for it. Not exactly the outcome they were hoping for, but it is in accordance with much of what else happens in the book of Acts: faithful Christian action is resisted by persecution. Ouch. But then, while in prison, they, once again, do what’s right: they cry out to God in prayer and singing out of desperation. This time the outcome is that a violent earthquake shakes their chains off and the cell doors free.

This is their chance to escape! God has moved on their behalf, right!?

A few pages before, in Acts 12, a similar thing happened to Peter. He was in prison for preaching and performing miracles when “the chains fell off Peter’s wrists,” and an angel led him out. But Paul and Silas don’t do this because they realize it will inevitably jeopardize the jailer’s life. They decide to stay in prison and lead the jailer and his family to faith in Jesus.
First, Paul and Silas’s faithful action freed a young girl yet landed them in prison. Second, it got them free in prison but compelled them to stay. Finally, it changed the course of the jailer’s family’s future.

Paul and Silas knew what many of us do not: praise does not assure us of immediate beneficial outcomes.

We don’t worship because it keeps the worst things from happening to us. We worship because we love God and trust that, ultimately, he will bring about something good, even if it must come out of something terrible. This is one of my favorite stories of worship in the Bible because it reframes the purpose of praise.

3rd of 3 Stories of Worship in the Bible:

The Widow’s Mite (Mark 12:41-44)
The most prominent lesson from this story is that the purest and most authentic sense of worship is when we give all we have. When all our lives and resources are committed to God and his Kingdom. This is undoubtedly true.
Additionally, we also learn from this passage that Jesus is watching. God pays attention to not only what we give but what our gift means to us and how we give it.

Quantitatively this lady gave the least.

It would have been nearly impossible to give any less than she gave! But she gave in faith of the little she had. Her gift was likely unnoticed in the moment of her giving and in the accounting for the collective gifts at the end of the day. But Jesus noticed and felt it was special enough to draw his disciples around and teach them to notice true worship.
Praise is our weapon of warfare.it commands deliverance and restoration God has literally placed praise in our mouth to activate his power. in the bible praise was used to secure victories and break the power of oppression
if all else fails praise. As pentecostals we are known for Hanging from chandeliers being Holy rollers but through the years the overall praise in the church has dampened. You don’t see Jumping or dancing for God. You don’t see running or leaping as much.
People have gotten to afraid of what people will think about them
i don’t want everyone staring at me.
i don’t want my friends to talk about me or think im crazy
i don’t wanna get mocked or laughed at.
I don’t want people to saround me cause then everyone will think i have something going on.
why cant we just worship the way we think we should worship him? not caring what people may think or say.
and let them talk because while your praising God he’s working. Most people don’t really comprehend the power that’s in your praise. that’s why you praise before the valley during the valley and after the valley. you praise before your blessing and you praise after your blessing
You think about David if you think about Job if you think about all the people in the Bible who praised God and worship him and gave him glory. What would’ve happened to them if they didn’t praise God, do you think they would’ve received the same outcome that they did when they did praise God and David you see he walked with God continually daily he asked for God‘s guidance and worshiped God.
in the book of psalms, we see so many verses of him praising God and giving God glory so what about in our lives what if we worship God and didn’t care what it took what if we worshiped God and didn’t care what we look like after or what people may think about us or what people may say.
what if we worship God and wanted to thank him for what he’s done for us more than we wanted to worship him for the blessing that he could give to us there’s a reason why we don’t shout leap we run we roll you know we hang on chandeliers as they may say.
there’s a reason for it you know as apostolic we’re known for our worship, but there’s a reason for that you know we’re called to be holy, and if we’re living a holy life a life that’s pleasing to God God‘s gonna bless us. God‘s gonna use this.
God‘s gonna take control of our lives. He’s gonna guide us. He’s gonna direct our steps and through that we have to praise him. You know we have to thank God for what he’s done for us. You know God is a good God you know there’s no other God like him.
You know there’s no other God that’s healed the sick no other God that’s made the blind to see the crippled to walk so through that you know, there’s there’s praise in his name and through our praise we get delivered we give restored we get the keys to unlock the blessings that are overflowing
The fact that we get to even worship God is a blessing in its self. We must take advantage of it. I’m thankful we are able day by day to thank God for what he has done in our lives and are able to worship him verbally and physically. There’s some areas that are killed for worshiping God or even mentioning his name. I know I could keep going and keep going about praise
And when the father’s glorified, we we bare much fruit he will grow in us because we give his name glory
like i said earlier God literally commanded us to give him praise. as well as when you
