Matt 9:36

Christ ultimate act of compassion in His sacrifice on the cross for humanity. Just as the Good Samaritan showed mercy, Jesus embodies that mercy and calls us to follow His example in loving others selflessly.
Big Idea: True compassion transcends barriers and calls us to actively love those in need, reflecting the nature of Christ within us.

1. Apathy's Missed Opportunity

Lk 10:30–32
The actions—or inactions—of the priest and the Levite who pass by the wounded man. Highlight the dangers of apathy and the failure of faith without compassion. By contrasting these figures with the upcoming character of the Good Samaritan, we are challenged to recognize where we might be blind to the needs around us, even within our own communities.

2. Samaritan's Selfless Sacrifice

Lk 10:33–35
The Samaritan’s actions to showcase genuine compassion that transcends cultural and social barriers. His willingness to love and sacrifice for someone who would traditionally be considered an enemy. This parable encourage believers to step beyond their comfort zones and practice Christ-like love towards everyone.

3. Live Out Compassion

Lk 10:36–37
The Bible says while we were yet sinners ( left for dead by sin) Jesus died for us. He did not pass by the other side but came to us heal us and give us an opportunity to be in fellowship with God. By loving God we can learned to show deep empathy to others who are hurting .
