Matthew: Jesus is King

The phenomena of the birth of Jesus and the visit from the magi (Matthew 2:1-12):

Magi = astrologers
Star: They saw its rising. This is an act of God.
The gifts:

Frankincense = Jesus’ deity
Myrrh = Jesus’ humanity/death

For this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.
